o/ tank player here, the thing I really like the most about tanking is definetely the amount of agency you have on how you aproach a fight
while it would be nice to get a mid expansion rework like PLD did in EW, I think DRK is just going to get band-aid fixes. few ideas would be listed
1.making blood weapon give 1000 mp per strike to make it 3000 mp at the end, currently we lost 1200 mp since it went down from 5 strikes to 3.
2.make abyssal drain a combo ender, DRK has the worst sustain in dungeons that its almost trolling (or maybe the striking healers will love you for picking it). I would like it to go unleashed > stalwart soul/abyssal drain, abyssal drain would give HP plus either blood gauge or mp. something different from the other tanks and to help with our sustain in dungeons.
3.either make TBN cost no mp or make it when it pops, give a direct crit to your next edge/flood of shadow. The counter-attack aspect of DRK has been in since HW with reprisal and low blow before they were role actions, StB TBN gave 50 blood gauge when it popped. It would be this neat little optimization mini game you can play to see what you can absorb and not get a vuln stack.
current TBN a dps lose if it doesn't pop, neutral if it does, and only a gain if you have it stored before the 2 minute burst and you have almost full mp.

Tanking is the best, casually walking around with 10-16 vuln stacks and still eating tankbusters. Bah gawd it feels so good!
Then there is the thing where most tanks are some of the most relaxed people around.
As healer that tanks on light side truly worth overcoming tank anxiety. Like dps melees you become more observent, hats off to those who can remeber content/direction lol my internal compass is broken
One of my friends thought it would be a hilarious idea to walk into the center of the arena in R2 as the hearts were coming out with Hollowed Ground on, that was the faster 8 Vuln stacks I have ever seen in my life (it would have been like 24 if it didn't cap at 8 in that fight lmao), but it did remove half of the mechanic for the rest of the party for 10 seconds, a very weird, but hilarious use for Paladin's tank invuln lol
Leveling warrior was such an absolute blast. I did it largely with fates because it was so nice to just wrap up the whole spawn and blow them apart with AoE. The new ground pounds are some of the most satisfying impacts I have seen yet.
They need to give TBN the blood price treatment. Let it restore hp based on the value of the shield. Increase torcleavers' potency and give it more mp gain, and I think this will be a decent band-aid fix.
MY favourite part of tanking is supporting the rest of the group actually. Like if you are doing a dungeon and see a dps/healer got vuln stacks. Protecting them with TDN when the boss does their roomwide aoe blast feels really satisfying.
Also please don't fully reworkd DRK please. I kind of like how DRK plays right now, we just need Abyssal drain on a lower CD and a small improvement on TDN. (1500 mana refund when the shield doesn't pop?)
