There Is A Monster Hunter Game In FFXIV | Final Fantasy XIV

Since I can’t currently afford Monster Hunter Rise, I thought I may as well finally complete the Monster Hunter Crossover event that is in Final Fantasy XIV. It was a very interesting event, and the fact that it permanently added a trial with unique mechanics to the game is really cool. It’s just sad how long it took me to find out what I was supposed to be doing…

  1. Rathalos doesn't have proper aggro so tank stance is useless against them.
If 3 player deaths happen it an automatic wipe like in the monster hunter games.
The boss has zero aoe markers, so need to study their attack animations if they're gonna hit you.
Impossible to do solo cuz need one player to mount boss and another to kill bison add, after that add dies hide behind their corpse from boss' flame attack or die. Then enter 2nd phase, no heals work, can only use 10 potions.
Extreme version is often done with 4 tanks, at least one Paladin or 3 tanks 1 healer ( healer Esuna spell to remove burn dots). For 2nd phase with gathering mechanic 1 tank can solo the hit just use a CD hence 3-4 tanks.

  2. "eventually" … Yeaaaah… I saw that I had to do this several more times and I was like "nope". Did it once, just didnt get it, finished the quest and the mount isnt worth the drama XD Maybe when I'm done with all Bozja weapons I try again but… until then… nope 😀

  3. First and foremost, this was entertaining. With that out of the way, I still have to criticize you a bit. I'm not trying to be mean and/or "attack" you, but your willful ignorance is a major reason why nobody wants to deal with randoms for the more difficult and/or mechanic heavy content.
I'm not saying going in blind for the normal difficulty instance is bad or anything like that. When it comes to the more difficult or mechanic heavy instances, however, you sir are bad and you should feel bad lol. Seriously though, you didn't even pay attention to the palico's dialogue prior to the normal instance. I can understand hating the poor little bastard, but goddamn man. The little guy is giving you VITAL info lmfao (on top of the pop up info and such).
In short, this was a fun shit show with the biggest of facepalms I've had in a while.
