  1. GW2 has an amazing leveling experience don't get me wrong, but it's no where near ff14 when it comes to story, gameplay, and raiding (not to mention the obvious gap in new content). As someone who's a big fan of both games, I highly recommend trying to get past level 10, you'll get access to dungeons soon and from then on its more just progressing the story than leveling.

  2. Now it essentially just stands there as you use your abilities to mold it into terrifying demonic elementals that do one attack then it turns back into a rabbit and stands there again

  3. FFXIV for me died on the hill of having combat system on pair with chess when it comes to pace, and having endgame visual clutter on pair with entire firework show in enclosed, claustrophobic basement.

Shure, lvl 20-40 group content was quite fun as a healer, but it turned repetitive quick and when i saw how endgame looks, i came running back to GW2 and thanked every Guardian in the game for gracefully spareing my poor bleeding eyes the cruel fate that FFXIV was trying to force upon me.

I don't have epilepsy but im certain after 80hours of FFXIV i would.
A bossfight shouldn't look like groggin Max0r video for crying out loud.

  4. In ye olden days, FF14 had pet classes.
Then the pets kept dying to AoE attacks. Square-Enix gave them a passive effect that reduces AoE damage by 90%.
Then the pets continued dying because players didn't micro-manage them. Square-Enix made them untargetable by any enemy attacks.
In Endwalker they "streamlined" pet classes by not having the pets be pets anymore.

  5. It’s like when oblivion had custom spells. My friend made one that did a fire dome attack for almost the whole map but did like .00000001 damage. The tickle made everyone turn against you 😂😂

  6. Try FFXI, has multiple great pet classes!!!

Beastmaster can perform moves that chain with their pet.

Summoner well summons avatars and deals massive damage or party utility.

Dragoon, ya….Well they get a wyvern lol

  7. FF14 is simply, the worst MMO I've ever tried and one of the worst games I've played. Mediocre, boring as hell, expensive and lacking of content. And obviously, the worst combat system ever.

  8. I have never, and will never, play that game. But from where I sit, that sounds like a perfect class for leveling. Maybe not ungeared at level 1, but down the line when you are geared, having a massive aoe auto pull sounds great for the inevitable level grind.
