I don't think increasing the weekly tome cap would be good unless they also increase the rewards you get from expert or other stuff.
I would rather seeing the cost for Raidbooks decrease.
Like for a Raid accessory you should only need one book not 4,
Tome accessories should also be tradeable with the book, same cost
Raid or tome Head, Hand and boots should be tradeable with 2 books of P2
Raid or tome Legs and chest should need 4 books of P3 / P4 respectively
Upgrades for tome gear should be buyable for less books as well.
Accessories 1 book of P2
Head/Hand/Boots/Legs/Chest/Weapon 2 book of P3 or 1 book of P4
Increasing tome caps also birth another problem of needing more time to grind. I think reducing the amount of tome that needed to exchange gear by 50% same as raid books. This way you spend same amount of time but easier to gear whatever you want.
Also if you only wanted to play one job n chill or do other stuff in the game is also better. For people like me that will go kinda inactive after doing raid for the first month, it makes no different to me because i just want to raid and have fun gear or no gear is not that important. After i satisfied my itch i can go play other games or take breaks or do whatever i want. Even if is easier to get gear dont makes too much of a different to me personally but it does makes me abit happy but ill still be inactive xD
Game have good philosophy let people do whatever they want. Farming is general rule for all games but would be better in the sense of "as long as you do it a fews times u get what you need". Raid have to be cleared in the first place its already a challenge for gamers to have fun n over come, time gating and not be able play however you wanted is not really good as a game i tinkh

The biggest problem with gearing in FFXIV is the reason to do it. Aside for faster/easier clear, parsing or ultimate (which occurs once every 3 years lol). The gear that you get on a tier is useless. You can't use it for the next tier (well you can but that is already better craftable gear available). Why the savage gear isn't BIS for the next one (by BIS I mean "starter BIS", you can craft or go normal mode the next tier but not as effective)
My problem with FFXIV gear is that raid gear isn't used for anything. Every raid tier comes with crafted gear you can buy on the auction house that is likely equivalent or flat out better. Doesn't feel like I'm working towards anything.
What bothers me about FFXIV content creators (not directed at you but like Xeno/mr happy/etc!) are that they never take into account or even the slightest consideration to majority of players (and casual players like myself) who must especially rely on weekly lotto from savage drops and sometimes for 7 weeks not even get a single drop from savage and thus not only needing to wait on tomestones, but also luck on drops. That every content creator has static and priveledge is great but it blinds them from the truth and reality of the game's content and issues.
tomestones for me, is the least of the problem. That said, they MUST make critical hit on weapon for tanks since we already lack tanks in FFXIV, so I do not know what the point of it was. Thank you for btinging up the points though! I am curious if there is any changes coming of such although it'd break the routine FFXIV goes by–since they already increased many stuff. I hope it will improve in time.
