  1. Oh, Man, GREAT video and very helpful 🙂 I'm loving the Sage. I have a lvl 80 WHM as well, but this just feels more powerful, more in your face,…. dare I say, "Vengeful" for all those you loved and couldn't save? It's the "Oh, hell no– I'm not taking your shit anymore!" job for healing. LOL! I love it has an aggressive, smooth and fast playstyle. I told a friend that WHM plays like a Healer with some DPS abilities, but Sage feels like a DPS with a ton of Healing abilities– directly and indirectly.

  2. I understand the skills, but I find even when being careful with your ogcd skills and spreading out the 10% heal and damage mitigation, it's very hard to keep a tank up on wall to wall pulls, but it's easy as pie as scholar.. in gonna take sage all the way to 80 before I form a final opinion but at 76 sage feels very weak to me.

  3. Having leveled sage to 90, don't be afraid to use those aoe abilities for back up. Abilities like holos give damage reduction which can make it that much easier to keep a tank alive during a big pull, even if no one else is hurt

  4. I tagged randomly for a trial and ended up facing Ruby as a Sage. My co-heal said "Sorry BRB" but never came back. I solo healed the team as a Sage 🤣 and it went pretty well

  5. It may because you don't have all the skills but ZOE should be used on pneuma for a 900 potency heal. Pneuma is your lvl90 ability. I just hit 90 on SAGE yesterday

  6. great video, I hope more people who want to play sages find, see and watch it. I have had more wipes in ally raids and dungeons in these last 2-3 days than in the last 3+ months.

  7. Two things I'd like… the dot to heal per tick and (Pan)Haima to have a one minute cooldown. Sage feels great for the most part, right until stuff goes sideways… It can be a real mission to get things back undercontrol.

Perhaps I am playing it wrong or just too used to White Mage, but I'm basically GCD locked it seems. Like half the time I'm going Shield -> Toxicon repeat… toss out the Dot, Taurochole, or w/e when needed, but it feels really uphill. When Euk Diag crits its such a vastly more potent shield, and good feels, and without it it just doesn't seem to have the output like White Mage.

  8. Is sage good for a first time healer? Is healing viable on console with controller and crossbars in general?

BTW, I was thinking I'd get 7 days free bc of the expansion login issues, and I don't. But I don't care about that. Is there an official social media that yoshi-p sees. I can't believe he was moved to tears over the end walker delays, and I just want to tell him thank you personally as someone who's played, albeit on and off, since 1.0 released. We understand yoshi, it's OK, we get that launches can be rough, and we love you. Thank you for what you've contributed to the FF community 🙏🏿 ❤️

  9. Sage is pretty cool, and just a better SCH IMO. I never really liked SCH but having a fun time with Sage so far. One thing that sucks is that Sage is pretty different from other Healers, and playing with a controller is a bit different because I can't just copy my bars from AST/WHM and have them set up the same way. I'm going to take your advice at the end and make Eukrasia my primary button instead of what is usually my DPS spam. It's funny because I've considered Sage as a DPS/Healer but my hotbar will be set-up in an opposite way from AST/WHM. That probably only makes sense to me, but it's what I've noticed.

Also, in my brief time with Sage it seems like (like some of the other commenters have mentioned) that it's a bit tough when AoEs hit, you have to really plan ahead for those. When things go bad, there seems to be less mitigation; you're not limited by mana but Addersgall which I guess is kinda like Scholar, but perhaps it will just take time to learn.

  10. I’ve been getting a lot of commendations as either tank or Sage. Peeps been telling me that the sages they group with either:
    • can’t heal
    • let them die
    • don’t know what they (Sage) are doing

And then some groups I joined mid way cause (before 1st or 2nd mini boss). Beneficial for me I guess. But, Sage reminds me of either Druid from EQ or Disc Priest from WoW.

  11. Prognosis and Diagnosis (respectively alone without Eukrasia or Zoe) is useless. Best way to emergency heal (if you don’t have Addersgal) is by:
    • Soteria then Eukrasian Diagnosis.
After casting that you should have an Addersgall (should be getting an Addersgall every 20s) so:
    • Druchole or if still waiting then use Soteria with Zoe with Eukrasian Dosis.

  12. I main gunbreaker and I really wanna switch over to healer as sage but so far I really am having a hard time understanding the role I have no idea which abilities I should be using in certain situations

  13. Pepsis is a recovery tool, and used reactively. You use it to bring peeps back up quickly. Also very useful for 'heal to full' Doom mechanics including DRK's Walking Dead. It's reverse Emergency Tactics, and you want to throw up your shields first, and then use Pepsis. So GCD>>oGCD instead of oGCD>>GCD
