  11. So I was watching the ShB cinematic and was remembering the Heavensward cinematic and something occured to me. I always thought the Hyur warrior in the cinematics was the generic insert for Us the player character because SE had to pick something to represent us. But then I thought "that scene in Heavensward where it shows us seeing the Sultana get poisoned wasn't how it actually went down in game…plothole? Goof?" Then I started wondering….is that NOT us? Is that the Warrior of Darkness, because it looks just like him…maybe all this time we've been seeing HIS journey parallel our own in cinematics without realizing it.

  19. ShB spoilers: Seeing new people watch the Shadowbringers trailer makes me remember how much ridiculous intentional vagueness and pointless story jebaits are in that trailer. Of course it all makes sense in retrospect, but it is almost impossible to figure out what's going on in the trailer just from the information you have in 4.55. It makes people speculate like crazy and sets up all kinds of insane story expectations.

    The worst part is the "Master Matoya" thing that ends up being a complete nothingburger with no relevance to the plot, which means almost certainly the only reason it's in the story AT ALL was just to be a jebait for the trailer. People were going nuts with theories about it for months and then in the end "lol it's just a fake name she's using".

    By comparison the Endwalker trailer is way more restrained and doesn't set up any crazy intentional mysteries while still being hype as fuck, and I like it a lot better for that.

  22. I'm going to stop watching Richs streams live and just wait for the vods. I can't stand the stalling anymore. It took him 5 hours to do that last 4 quests of SB. Ridiculous.
