  1. For me the number will come back up once they release a new update or expansion. Like they been doing for the many years. Other mmo or live service done the same thing. Look at destiny I bet there player count will skyrocket when lighfall come out. It will drop slowly again once everyone completed content.

This doesn’t mean the game is dying. Final fantasy 14 has a huge player base. Shit look at final fantasy 11. That game still going strong.

I alway love seeing those wagon jumper options. Like you said, this normal mmo and live service will have there dry season.

  3. Ok so I'll try my best to say all this stuff properly. Beginning with the " leaving bandwagon ". I personally be it's just a trend, any annoying trend but a trend nonetheless. Its honestly something ghat doesn't need to be made public but if one CC saw another do it then they'll probably think it's the best way to go about it. Almost like a monkey see momeky do kinda thing.

Ok so for my second point is the whole " the game is dying" aspect. The game is not dying and I don't believe that CC's should use this term so loosely on any mmo that has more then, let's say 20 – 100 players playing or a player base. FF14 isn't dying my any means, but alot of people are taking breaks or feel comfortable enough to leave the game completely after finishing the FIRST major Arc of the game. Yes there are tons and other cool or fun games out there to play and enjoy, I'm not saying that they have to stick with FF14 for life, but it would be appreciated by not calling this a dying game.

And now for the last one, the much needed " FF14 Overhual ". The game will get an huge and MAJOR graphical overhaul in patch 7.0, so that is coming to the game. And other then the graphics, there could also be some more overhauls that are included with it that we may no know about just yet. So yes FF14 is getting a makeover, but I'm pretty sure that they are trying to do it so it's in the best interest of the community and player base and not be the opposite and harm them instead.

This time I tried my best to stay on topic, I have carefully thought all this through. These are my rue beliefs on this type of discussion. I did enjoy this video and some of the points that were being made. But I'm ngl some of them were, " interesting " points being made. Sorry this is so long.

  4. I had quit FF14 multiple times and the longest was 4 years. The only reason I return was because I thought they were doing the "leveling up of armor" like in FF11 was doing, which was Eureka and I love the grind and the harshness of the enviroment. People didn't like it, because it was hard for them and didn't like the grind. I think these people are not MMO players but are single player gamers. This is why we need a MMO remake of FF11 for MMO players and leave FF14 for those who want that single player vibe. Yoshi-P needs to hear us out and check out New World and other cool things from other MMO's to get an idea what we like for a new MMO that caters to MMO players.

  5. Personally, I’ve tried multiple times playing games other than FF14. I’ve tried WOW, New World, ESO, GW2 and non mmo games. Im still waiting for another game to entertain me enough to take a break from FF14

  6. I feel that this is only a temporary drop. This tends to be the case around the holidays, especially since the new relic only has its 1st form. I doubt the drop will be anything even close to what happened with Heavensward or Stormblood. THOSE were worrying drops.

  7. Times change, people just wave from one MMO to another. Myself I used to be hardcore WoW player. Then POE, etc. Nowadays, like many many others I just log in to the game that is best "at that time", or even more: fits my mood best at that time. Now I'm back into POE with the new League as well as Wow. I went back to NW but now off it again and so forth. Heck, I recently even installed Fallout76 (awesome by the way nowadays), etc…

  8. Great video! Still working my way through the story…… Got married December 2019, gaming been slow…. >.>. Also inflation….. my tacos are up 50% since 2019. =(. I'm glad monthly subs haven't gone up. Hoping you'll be back later, enjoy the games you like. =). I'm playing through ISS Vanguard board game with my buddy, might be moving from Santa Barbara to Houston though…. things just too expensive now =(.

  9. I personally haven't played FFXIV in a few months, but I'm just waiting for the next big patch. I can't afford to pay the subscription monthly, especially if I'm not really playing much. I think that's fine, but I do agree the game has a lot more room to grow and evolve.

  10. Thank you for addressing this. I also replied to that comment (while being respectful), but it's so strange that people still keep that mindset of the early 2000s WOW landscape. Where playing a single MMO had to be your ENTIRE LIFE and take up ALL your time. That's simply not true, and I don't think it ever has been.

  11. If ff14 wants to fix what they have they are gonna get the opportunity. I think they just need to start 7.0 back at lvl 1 again in a new start zone on a new continent. If they can do euruka they can do it on a much bigger scale. Give us back job quests and a new gear system where gear matters. Stop giving gear as apart of a MSQ you want that you can progress through the old story for it. I would allow old gear in new zones if your level is high enough to use it but I would make everyone have to level up from lvl 1 on a new progression path where we can get new abilities. I would still want a MSQ and exp tied to it and major quests. But gearing should matter for more than ilvl and this is what I think would fix it the best and allow a stat crunch to lvl 1. If they can pull something like this off I'll come back. If it just business as usual I'll keep looking for something better.

  12. tbh I just don’t understand why people cares others quitting the game or not so much.
If You have fun playing it, keep playing no matter other says it’s dying or not. If you feel bored, just quit it no need to care others say it still have lots of fun stuff to do or what. You do you

There’s nothing wrong with playing a “dying” game or quitting a “fun” game

  13. I am at a loss as to way this is a topic to keep touching on. Nothing wrong with playing other games if you are not feeling XIV. There are many games to play and have fun with. Just wondering why the rehash of the same discussion over and over.

  14. Does everyone get bored with the game, yea ofcourse. But we never have a conversation as to why it gets boring and ways to improve on that.

Dungeons are boring and routine. There is no real 4 man content. Good content gets neglected. PVP is nonsensical. Bluemage. There is no feeling of reward from difficult content. Crafters outside of making Gil is pointless. Gil is pointless. Housing is still an issue. Open world is stale. The list goes on.

Leaving the game and coming back isn’t going to magically fix those problems.

  15. while the community overall is great, fans really do have a pretty toxic mindset of this game. i definitely have an ebb and flow where ill sub for a year or so, only to find im doing medial tasks in the end. all it takes is a single day of missing roulettes to realize its not the end of the world, then i end up taking my hiatus for a few months, and feel much better for it. i dont think i'll ever reach a point that i'll "quit", until the next FF based MMO comes out. but each hiatus has that potential to become indefinite, and i dont think theres anything wrong with that.

  16. I agree with Brian. 😊 MMORPGs and their popularity largely depend on the content available at any given time. With Endwalker complete for 80% of the players, watching the players move to something else is normal. When new content appears (and it’s coming soon) the number of players will inflate again. It can be a double edge sword because, once the players who remain notice that the Party finder and roulettes queues are longer due to lack of players then, they also leave. It’s unfortunate perhaps but logical. For myself I’ve been away for at least 3 months. 😅 I started a new job and needed to focus all my energy in that. But as the seasonal events keep going, Moogle trove and winter event, I find myself drawn in again. 😁 Bottom line, if you’re not having as much fun, it’s ok to step away. 👍 But after nearly 10 years with FFXIV, I nearly really left it. 🥰❤️ Thank you Brian. Stay safe! ❤️😘
