  1. I never got the chance to do this duty ingame, so that was really nice to listen to. As I know the concept of treasure hunt, I think the music fits it a lot because it's always RNG whether you can keep on going or will be yeeted out of the duty!
I also really like how the main theme that I know from other soundtracks in this area comes back around in a fresh way~

  2. So this "encounter" is reached by first deciphering a treasure map, finding the location of the treasure, digging for the treasure, fighting the enemies that show up when you dig for the treasure, THEN if you're lucky, a portal will appear when you collect the treasure. Then you have a ~50% chance of getting one of two maps through that portal: this one, or a more "linear" map where you guess doors to progress. In this map, you interact with a thing and perform a sort of "roulette" which determines what kind of mini-boss you fight for that round, or if you're unlucky you get kicked out. The dying bosses you saw were those that were encountered.
The track is called "Dangertek" and was featured in The Feast (a PVP team-based deathmatch mode) during a portion of the fight referred to as "culling time" where (if I, a non-PVP player, recall correctly) your best performing player on each side gets ganged-up on by everyone else on the opposing team. (Please reply with more accurate details, I've never done The Feast)

  3. This also plays in the soon-to-be-defunct pvp mode called The Feast, when it enters the "hey you guys aren't kill each other enough" mode, literally called "Culling Time". It's also a remix of the normal Feast theme, which is called "Starved". It's also a banger.

  4. Treasure maps are a Free Company staple for us in <<Revel>>! They're easy to access 8-man content and fun to do, and we always get hype whenever we get the Shifting versions of the dungeons that you could get!
Snoob already gave you the low-down on how it works, but they're really fun haha! The roulette especially because you'll get 8 people begging "Mr.Square Enix" to "PLEASE DONT LAND ON THE BAD PLS"! And then, even if you do get either the wrong door or the bad Atomos pad, there's still a chance that its faking you out!
In the dungeon version, this is indicated by a choir, a fanfare and rainbow show lighting appearing, which we gratefully thank The Gays for allowing us another floor; or if its the roulette version, a lightning strike comes and kills the Atomos before it eats you, thank u Thunder Lesbians!

  5. This is one of those tracks made for a specific game mode that they repurposed for something else. This has happened with a lot of Palace of the Dead music, and many tracks from 1.0 are reused in a manner that is much different from how they were intended to be used.

  6. Most instances are serious, this one is just for fun…and profit…:-D We all have a blast in here ;-D Oh hell yes it matches, its high energy, designed for fun and rapid dps, whilst tossing jokes at each other. its a playground,.

  7. You may have gotten them for requests already, but I wonder if you'd like listening to Ink Long Dry and its followup, Bibliophobia. They're very old dungeon themes, so they might have flown under your radar, but in my head they really represent when Soken went fully off the rails in terms of genre and never came back.

  8. Glow sticks? Funnily enough, there are 3 different emotes where your character uses a pair of glow sticks. One where you jump and one in the air, the second you swing one over your head side to side, and the last you swing both forward and back overhead almost like you're directing an aircraft taxiing on a runway.

  9. This song just drives me insane, honestly. There's one with a similar energy that I find WAY better called "The Gauntlet." It plays during Palace of the Dead and I'm always happy when it comes on. It actually reminds me a little bit of the Mercenaries mode song for Resident Evil 6, which I had some good times playing haha.
