  1. I play on kbm but I feel the not wanting to use the 3rd bar thing cuz for a while I refused to play any job who had more than 5 frequently hit buttons because i couldn't hit higher than 5 and wasd at the same time. I would click skills that weren't on 1-5, and I made it work for most jobs but I stayed away from most melees. I've since switched to an mmo mouse tho, now I can play any job I want without trouble…

  2. Interestingly, as a KB+M player, doubling-binding skills is actually something I do, since I make heavy use of modifiers. For example on my SAM bars, I have Shinten bound to both R and Shift+R, so I can hit it without worrying if I'm holding down Shift for not, since I use the Shift modifier for combo finishers and Iaijutsu. I also do it on MCH due to how I've bound Heat Blast with a modifier, so I have both Gauss Round and Ricochet double-bound so I can keep a modifier held down during Hypercharge and still hit both OGCDs.

Regardless of control scheme, it's all about finding what works for you! Having toyed around with controller play, I can appreciate the thought process that goes into planning a layout.
