Sane take. both games are old and have own style. Each game wants something from one another. (example housing/transmog collection system). Using Addons for FFXIV to make game look better. Using Addons in WoW to perform better and QoL stuff. Kept it short and sweet for all to read.
Combat addons should never be a thing, plain and simple, same as macro auto-rotations and all that.
Maybe I'm a boomer mmo player but I prefer learning things by reacting at what a boss does.
Than a f-ing pop up or a random voice in my head telling me "RUN, SPREAD, GET AWAY" bullsh-.
Might as well play a mobile game with auto-play in it.
A lot of the FFX8V delay comes from there 3s tick rate servers.
I'm a top ten player in ffxiv and a gladiator in wow, the pvp is night and day, the difference is mainly the server tick from ffxiv being shit still, while wow's pvp devs dont know their own classes that theyre buffing/nerfing.
And yes, FFXIV pvp is much better once you learn your dps rotation, how server ticks work, and how to play around it. wow pvp right now is complete trash, thats why wow classic became a thing.
Also being crystal in pvp doesnt mean squat shit, there are plenty of crystal players that are not in the top 100, albeit cc is currently way worse than feast ever was. Discouraging TRUE good players of the game.
cc is complete trash, feast was where the pvp mode truly shined, i got top 100 with cc, its a complete joke. But saying pvp sucks overall is just showing how garbage of a player you are truly at the game.

i've cleared 3 ultimates myself and still raid once weekly with friends in FF but nothing hits like a piece of loot in wow. FF always missed that mark for me.

I'm european and always play on NA servers. The slower gcds and the small delays made the game playable. In WoW there's no addon to help you lower your ping and vpns are banned. Every class with a significant amount of instacasts is completely unplayable for me, the gcds won't stop desyncing and going back in time, it's impossible to keep track of which gcds are getting to the server and going off and which ones aren't when your gcds are resetting twice every 1.5 seconds.
