So the quest series you got to in this episode (to unlock the Soul of the Warrior) is called a job quest. They take place after the level 30 class quests, but require the Sylph Management main story quest to be completed.
You should have one for your thaumaturge as well! It was gated behind the Sylph quest when you reached level 30 before.
Interject wasn't working because of the difference between "stun" and "interrupt" I described a few videos back. Only attacks where the enemy's cast bar is flashing can be interrupted. And while most bosses CANNOT be stunned, any attack with flashing cast bar can be interrupted.
I agree that thaumaturge had one of the best class stories. Pugilist was a fun one. The crafting and gathering jobs all have their own story to tell as well.
16:47 – one of the cabbage people quests unlocks jobs (which is weird)
you should check out the progression guide on gamerescape
The Active Help entry for Jobs is hilariously out of date. A long time ago, you used to be able to use skills from other classes. As a Warrior, you'd use not just your Marauder skills, but some of the Pugilist and Gladiator skills. And as a Marauder without the Warrior job on, you could use some skills from ALL of the other classes, even casting things like Cure (with greatly diminished effect). This was changed many years ago, and now there is not even the slightest advantage to not having the job crystal on. It just means missing out on stats and important skills.
My Feisty Little Chocobo quest teaches you how to have your chocobo help with fighting enemies. They can also help with healing you.
Damn it, now that I've caught up, what am I meant to watch in the background.
