  1. So reaper and viper probably viper will be top dps and dark knight will still be bad. Why can't they give dark knight a 1300 finisher at least I can fish for a big number. Gunbreaker is so fun when you can see a 1200 potency crit.

  2. Editing to stop incorrect information. Originally thought it was a flat nerf and commented as such, but another poster helpfully pointed out that it isn't. Correctly stated in the video as a damage reallocation as we can do big combos more now. Don't panic fellow Samurai enjoyers.

  3. A few things to note; BLM got a huge nerf to aoe, not a buff. Samurai complete nerf but it makes up for it since now anytime you complete a combo you can Tsubame. Viper's rework is interesting, but unsure how it'll play out.

  4. i love tanking as DRK good changes to reaper and viper god that singel target hunter's sidewinder action combo diffcult to do on flank now just rear thank god keep it up videos

  5. I'm just glad Picto wasn't nerfed, I will die on the hill that it doesn't need nerfs. I'm honestly confused by some of these. Reaper and Viper getting buffs/quality of life is a choice, those 2 already seemed like the top DPS in general, at least from content I've been doing. BLM I'm mixed on still, some good changes but it still has some big pain points for me.

  6. which they woulod have buffef sage the cooldowns are so long ,like two of them are like 120 do any other classes have these long cooldowns and for more than one skill?

  7. Let's hope they correctly relatively adjusted potencys for SAM below level 74, to compensate for not having double Midare. Nobody wants to clear level sync content slower, even if they think the old content is irrelevant.

  8. Ice paradox coming back will probably be huge for blms. If it gives back mp, it might bring back some "skip-blizzard 4" transpose lines when boss is about to leave arena, and will add to mobility in umbral ice. The only thing i'm still iffy about is the no double dot thing, but besides DSR and TEA, it's not really something you'll notice.

  9. This will not fix the janky feeling of BLM. And I feels this is more of a nerf than buffs. BLM shouldn't have gotten any reductions. But what shocks me is PCT Will still be overpowered and making bringing a BLM pointless. Yaaaay time to quit FFXIV and hope when Devs see that nobody does savage they will do a proper rework ASAP

  10. Ice paradox returns!. To all those saying that that SAM was nerfed it wasn’t. You double midare literally every single midare now so they adjusted potencies accordingly, but overall it’s actually a dps buff.

    They were going to change positionals on Viper, but due to heavy player feedback saying they liked them they decided to keep them. This is why i stress even if you enjoy something GIVE FEEDBACK. The devs listen (sometimes too much) but that’s why even if you’re enjoying yourself it’s still important that you give feedback.

  11. Paradox and Umbral Soul changes are huge and is everything we Black Mages wanted. Black Mages definetly won in this patch.

    The potency changes and how good they are comparing to the other jobs remain to be seen tho. Meta-wise it should always be the highest compared to the other ranged DPS since it doesn't have any utilities, so pictomancer is the big elephant in the room right now since it does have utility and it's been doing too much damage for the last patch, it needs to go below Black Mage.

  12. samurai should be the highest damage it is the selfish melee and they are reducing damage thats wild while reaper getting buffed and already plays better overall and black mage needs a whole lot of dmg to be much stronger than the ranged classes

  13. I am really disappointed in the Samurai change. I was planning to prog with Samurai, but I think I'll be going as a tank after the changes. Putting more importance on Meikyo was what got me excited about this Samurai iteration and walking it back just makes me go meh on the job.

  14. I like the Viper changes. Having to reapply debuff when you're mid-combo (can't reapply unless you finish it first) and then there's downtime enough for it to drops, is just painful.
    But the potency ups seem to be between 13-15% while the debuff is 10%, dunno how the intricacies around dmg calc but at a glance the changes look like a net buff tgh.

  15. I still think Picto need attune though, not only it do so much damage, it's also have a good utility. Why bring BLM to raid at all aside from you love it when Picto can do much better and also have utility. idn't say it have to be nerf but other class should be buff to match it. But we all knew that would never do, it much easier to nerf stronger single class than buff all other class.
