As a casual player who still does want to do savages, I like the idea of them being pushed back a week. I feel like I get to enjoy all the content without having to rush to get into week one groups. Plus you'll see gearsets and food getting cheaper. I know that'll suck for crafters but it's good for poor people like me xDD I'm personally happy about it and excited for it.
Wasn't there another version of this video the other day? I wanted to watch it but it disappeared.
Apologies for the re-upload, I got some information wrong and wanted to correct it!
Banger video
my biggest problem with the stats adjustment is thatthey still failed to adress the 2 elephant in the room. Tenacity and piety are so useless that theymight as well get removed .
I'm cautiously optimistic about being able to (finally) meld DH and still play WAR without it feeling gimped. I've had to swap off of the job this xpac (since my cotank runs WAR) but for dungeon running or hunt trains it would be nice to unga bunga to max effect once again 🙂
I totally missed the part about direct hit so I'm glad you covered it. That is so convenient for WAR.
We're getting some good QoL stuff yet again with 6.2. It looks like they really listen to player feedback unlike in other games 😉
I'm really looking forward to the world race to see what impact the delay of savage will have.
So now DRK is even more useless if WAR can do more DPS?
Great summary of the stat changes. I hope the devs are listening to the feedback from the playerbase!
so if kaiten ever makes its return, its 7.0
My only fear with the rng buff = flat damage change is that it might be really hard for them to get right actually. A part of the issue is that the buffs are normally rng. Maybe you land that crit or direct hit on your big ability for ninja or BLM, but maybe not. These jobs on the other hand will always get full value out of these buffs with flat damage. My fear is that either the buffs will be really good and really strong with these jobs to the point where it feels like you need to bring these jobs in together to get the most out of them and without them your class will feel significantly weaker. Alternatively, because it's a consistent flat damage buff with no RNG maybe it'll be too small in which case it will feel pointless or inconsiquential. The issue to me is that you take buffs which normally just increase your rng chance to RNG buff some random bit of your damage in burst. It could be your big damage button or just a small oGCD buff. But you take these abilities that have an RNG aspect to them and say "hey, for these jobs you don't get RNG for these buffs on their big abilities. You just get full value damage."
I'm not sure, it might end up being balanced and fine overall, but I just have that concern. Honestly, while the big number can feel nice to see a lot, I kind of wish they would just remove garaunted crit and DH
Any news on DRK, hopefully some self healing.
The only issue with the "dps will have 630 weapons making the last boss easier" only really works for statics that will feed the weapon upgrades to that dos, us pf puggers will still have to suffer
Can yoshi p make sacthe relevant or 0mp xD
I'm a bit angry that people on youtube make it a big deal that people have a full pentamelded set for savage release. That is literally only a change for people who go into the raid the moment the servers go up in the morning. Every raid group, even week 1 who do "after work raiding" aka in the evening always had that and no it did not trivialize the first 2 bosses. The only people who are affected by this are world racers and day time raiders. Aka the 1% of the 1% of the 1%. No one cares.
I think this times world first race will be a lot more relaxed than it was before… I guess there are many raiders, who are not interested in the delay since they only do raids, but I think even they can appreciate that they have more time for preparation…
Honestly I hope they keep the Savage difficulty pushed back by a week. Even if I was a hardcore raider, I'm also super into doing the story and stuff, at my own pace and not speed reading, and if the people I were to do that raiding with wanted to do day 1 and wanted me to skip the story then, well, frankly they could shove it up their ass.
To my knowledge every other MMO has normal stuff come out, and then hard mode a week later. This gives people time to do the story, as well as other content, and gear up and get any last minute things they need before the hard version comes out. Its simply a smart thing to do. Everyone can get the fun new patch stuff they wanna do done, catch up with the story and everything, and by the time Savage comes out everyone will be ready and able to do it.
My only gripes with DRG is it’s straight line AOE’s. With AST, it’s just the Lord cards. I’m too busy using every other button and easily forget they exist.
