  1. I'm very very new to ffxiv (still haven't done my first dungeon yet), mmos in general and FF itself (only played ff7r and bits of ffxv and ffxii) and I really want to say your channel has been an absolute godsend for me. I have pretty bad anxiety and have only experienced toxicity from most online gaming communities, so when I saw just how much there is to learn in this game I nearly booked it in the opposite direction, but it's people like you and others in the community who are so kind and helpful that push me to keep going so I can learn and get better. I'm kinda rambling but yeah, thank you so much for your channel and for encouraging us lil sprouts 💕

  2. I feel overwhelmed every time I take a break from the game for a few months and come back. I leveled BLM as alt job over a year ago and I was enjoying it so much, then I took a long break and forgot all the rotations, and I still haven't gotten back to it lol. On my last go I leveled all the crafters and gatherers… and now when I resub I know there's a whole new layer waiting for me to delve into with master recipes and all that jazz. Not to mention gearing them up properly for that, and trying out ocean fishing etc..

  3. Thanks for the advice! After the MSQ unlocked the Air Strip to fly between the 3 cities, I just started going around unlocking every single job I could that didn't have a level requirement. Now, I'm overwhelmed lmao. I'm just letting materials stack up in my inventory for when I know what I'm doing and have already switched from my White Mage to an Arcanist soon to be scholar. But I love your advice: "Just chill out". I've been trying to play with a friend and he's very 'right now lets go lets go' so I can't really enjoy the game as much as I do when I play solo. I have a feeling he won't last very long, unfortunately. I, however, have never felt the feelings I have playing through FFXIV from any other MMO. It was legitimately making me sad when I tried WoW again and just ran around in circles in the city before logging off. The game feels so empty now. So many restrictions compared to FFXIV. I was hooked when I learned you could play everything on a single character. This is my dream come true as an altoholic. I love this damn game and am in it for the long haul. The toxic relationship has finally ended for good and a healthy one with Yoshi P has begun.

  4. They say Dark souls is hard. Nope FF xiv is tenfold harder. My brain can't handle the overload of information on the screen when doing bosses in dungeons. Most brains remember around seven things. The UI hits you with at least fifty different feedbacks that your watching and that's as a tank.

  5. I started 4 days ago and I feel the opposite. Just… awestruck. Especially as a heavy roleplayer, it's like… everything I've ever wanted/needed… this game has.

  6. You are a SWEETIE, and even though you said " I am just like you " that's not exactly true, I'm probably at least 40 years older than you, I started playing FF14 in 2017 and quit in 2018, started again in 2019 and quit again 6 months later. Going to try and play again IF I can MY correct account activated. Keep your finger crossed !

  7. This applies to life as well. It’s okay to take things slow and learn. It’s okay to be new. It’s okay to not be good at something. The only way to improve is experience. You WILL get better and you WILL learn. Don’t rush, it cheats you out of a wonderful experience and sometimes you end up in a situation where you don’t know as much as you would have if you had taken your time.

  8. My teammate and I are afraid to do dungeons/raids with other people. We had a bad experience in another game that we were yelled at because we were new and didn't understand everything yet. How is the community about such things?

  9. New player here..started 2 days ago..only got the starter edition..moving along at a steady pace. Alot to learn my biggest issue was/is navigation and properly using the map and the map itself.and it's controls not hard just nerve wrecking. Just trying to find my footing in the final fantasy world. Oh yeah my dumb ass didn't know after you complete a quest the panel where it shows what you earned at first I didn't know you can only choose 1 item out of the options they give..the complete button doesn't highlight until you choose which item you want so I thought I didn't complete some of the quest properly took me a couple hrs to realize that.

  10. I booted up the game for the first time on my ps yesterday and I am really overwhelmed by the HUD. I really don't know if I can even make it past there, it feels so crowded. Not even comparable to the nice looking huds of other final fantasy games.

  11. I loved your comparison of the game to a road trip. You absolutely nailed it, those little roads might not be the most efficient but they certainly are the most memorable. And also agree on the five course meal. I mean what kind of savage wants the whole thing at once, lol. Great video!

  12. I’m currently in the process of leveling a BLM because I just love torturing myself with immobile caster classes.

One day I was traipsing through Ul’dah and heard someone playing music that sounded like it came from Zelda. This is where I first learned that Bards can actually play music. Not some lame flavor item but actual music. That left me in awe that the dev team would actually take the time to implement an entire performance system where you can play whatever you want.

  13. I can say for sure as a returner, even with that experience, it was still like hitting the ground running. It took me 3 days just to become accustomed again to playing the game. I had stopped playing at a realm reborn, before leviathan, so im having to relearn & learn alot of things like the controller play, or how my pet no longer tanks.

  14. thank you for this. i just started 2 days ago and felt like i was so late in the game and had to catch up fast… i was rushing to level up quickly, reached lvl15 without enjoying the game at all. found your channel by looking for best tips to level up quickly, thinking i need to get to lvl60+ just to enjoy it… but this gave me a diff. perspective altogether. i'll be taking my sweet time now 🙂 thanks again!

  15. Overwhelmed? I went into one of these LFG type things and when the fight started I got 4 tutorial popups with 3 pages each, explaining what Limit break and stuff is. Before I could even start reading, we were done. I still don't know what limit break is.
