  1. I don't know if it's rampant misogyny or what that makes people lose their mind when you're leaving out information that a new player doesn't need or when you let a new player die.

  2. 10:27 — Sounds good. When I started playing, the Free Trial only went up to lvl35 – and I got all explansions including ShB as digital collectors editions for 30 or 40€. And I was barely three hours in 😀

21:52 — Since my alt is a male Au Ra… you get used to it ^.^

I played all intros on different characters. Gridania is still my favorite ^^

1:36:30 — No, its three different persons XD He's literally a triplet XD At the end of ARR, you see all of them together XD

I always think of ARR as the introduction. I never played a FF game ever nor 1.0, and I'm a lore nerd anyhow so I really like getting all the background. Its not for everyone and it helps if you like reading. Is it the best story? No. But I played WoW and GW/GW2 and lemme tell you: ARR is a mile better than both. And no, thats not a joke.

Food is useful 🙁 It gives 3% extra XP ^^

Housing. Depends on your server ^^

  3. unlocking expansion jobs doesn't require getting to the expansion unless the quest giver is physically in the expansion. Just having a combat job at the minimum level is acceptable to unlock it.
Machinist, Astrologian, and Dark Knight require access to Heavensward areas due to the quests being inside the first area of the expansion.
Every other job in the game has the quest giver in the ARR main citystates.
Rogue/Ninja can be unlocked at level 10 with ANY class, provided you can reach Limsa Lominsa.
Red Mage and Samurai require level 50 and access to Ul'dah
All the above jobs are available on the free trial.
Gunbreaker and Dancer are level 60 and unlocked in Gridania and Limsa Lominsa respectively as well as the Shadowbringers Expansion having been purchased.
Sage and Reaper are 70, and require Limsa Lomina and Ul'dah access and the Endwalker Expansion having been purchased.
Viper and Pictormancer are level 80 and unlocked in Ul'Dah and Gridania, and require purchase of Dawntrail.

  4. When I started playing it quickly went from
"I'll just play the free trial (to level 30-ish) to try it out "
to "Fine I'll buy the base game just get a feel for it"
to "I bought the expansions" before being done with ARR

  5. I was a little way into HW with my lalafell Mahaka Maka when I decided I wanted everyone to be looking up at me, so I swapped to the most D&D Fire Giant looking femmroe with a Fantasia, but I didn't change my name so there's this gigantic lady with coal-black skin and fiery hair named Mahaka Maka. You see her and you can guess the pre-fantasia species, and I think that's beautiful.

  6. As much as i like seeing people like Vul get into ff14 on stream, i wouldnt have minded if this happened off stream with both of them, because the amount of people following you around can get tedious and slightly annoying, even if they are just there to support and welcome you, sometimes they just get in the way, i can tell it gets tiring for streamers overtime, especially with something as long as ff14

  7. I think that's because you're with party with lv100 player, not to mention a leader, maybe that's why enemies nearby responds to the high level party. 😂 I see that, get confused, and suddenly remembered how my lil sister get attacked by tons because she's party with me until we disband, things turn back to normal lol lol 🤣

  8. I started in Ul'dah and have never seen the other intros. I wonder how the Limsa one goes

In the Ul'dah one, you get almost arrested by Brass Blades for smuggling somnus, and only don't because the amal'ja attack and the Brass Blades have more important things to do. I don't even think they tell you to leave, I think the driver just takes the opportunity to do so
