  1. I'll always remember that big reveal that despite being programmed for nothing but war and destruction… in the end, all Omega truly wanted was to go home.

  2. Nero and Cid’s friendship / rivalry is really cool. 2 people pushing each other to better themselves. And the mutual respect they have for each other

Also, congrats on clearing homesick murder robo!

  3. 0:15 Meet the big bad for the very first Final Fantasy, Chaos.

What killed you was the stack markers apply a very brief magic damage vulnerability up debuff so all 8 people can't stack together.

11:34 The Heavensward music always gives me chills.

12:50 This one never fails to confuse me. If he does two horizontal spins he'll do a point blank aoe and you need to get out. If he does two vertical spins he'll do a cross shape and you need to get to the corners.

29:00 Aww, I can feel the bromance.

31:34 Chicken tenders! One of the funniest misheard lyric memes of FF14, alongside big fat tacos.

38:40 That's red mage lb3. Officially called Vermillion Scourge, known to the community as Verflashbang: Killer of Everyone's Eyes and Graphics Cards, tm.

56:10 And now the silly bugger is trying to copy our limit breaks. How lovely. /s

56:55 The flares are proximity markers. The one who gets it run away from the group while the group runs away from them. No different than the normal red proximity markers.

1:02:40 Amazing how quickly this game can make us go from "I'm gonna kill you" to "please don't go!"

1:08:35 Remember when we first heard the name Omega? As the "Allagan weapon" buried under the Carteneau Flats that Teledji Adaledji wanted to ger his hands on all the way back in the ARR patch content? Boy that feels like so long ago, eh?

1:11:38 You didn't actually expect Nero to hang around, did you? =-)

1:22:24 And one more adorable touch they added in, totally unnecessary, is now that you've finished the questline almost anywhere in the world you can stumble upon Alpha and Omega wandering around.

  4. 1:29 — Never stack the stacks 🙂 There is only one raid, Crystal Tower, when you can do that. Anywhere else, stay away from the other stack and hope that enough people, either 3 of your group or your entire party in Alli Raids, stack with you 😀

13:22 — Well, the fight is a couple years old 😀 Also, you can tell his mechanics from his movement: if he does two flat circles, its a point blank aoe, if he does two upstnding circles its a donut-aoe, and if he does both its a cross-aoe. Or somesuch – its been a while XD

15:48 — The healer loves you XD

16:24 — You were in, trust me XD

34:29 — Yes, but… you have to actually target something with it XD

43:47 — Alpha was supposed to survive, Omega had plans for him, remember?

    1:06:23 — Lonely? Yes. Depressed? No ^^

1:22:29 — Come now 🙂 You know that in this game characters keep returning ^.^ As for Alpha and Omega, you want to keep your eyes open: they show up at random places and events 🙂

  5. While the places aren't random, the timing is whenever you see Alpha and OMG. It's also visible only to you when he does pop up. Other players won't necessarily see him and you probably won't when they do see him.

It's just like what happens when Leofard, Cait Sith, and Utata show up on the couch near the Jumbo Cactpot counter in the Gold Saucer.

  6. And now when you see Alpha and OMG in some random XIV place, you'll smile. It's such a wonderful story. Here's to being a brand-new soul and seeing with new eyes in this workaday world!
