So far on my WoW to FFXIV journey I’ve rolled credits on A Realm Reborn 2.0 MSQ and made my way through Patch 2.2 MSQ and Hildibrand Episode 1 & 2 – in todays clip we take a look at my reactions to seeing the official Final Fantasy XIV 1.0 Trailer for the first time, as a new player and sprout, it blew my mind!

The 1.0 trailer is actually mostly made out of concepts that never made it into the game. Like the tavern they’re in is based on early concepts where you would port in a the inn and not some random place in the area. The light was likely an early concept of how the summons appear and the fighting is only loosely based on the 1.0 system, which got replaced a few times I believe. The only thing canon here are the echo and the dragon fight.
Hey Redzy. If you're watching old trailers, the next one that comes after this is the ARR one, but the one you wanna watch is called "Flames of Truth" because they got a couple versions of the ARR trailer, and a lot of reactors get the one that's actually shortened. The Flames of Truth trailer specifically has a segment halfway through that is important to the story and shows a REALLY AWESOME scene with Louisoix fighting Bahamut.
Some of the concepts in this video were used in later expansions cause Yoshi P isn’t a fan of loose ends
