*NEW* FFXIV Mitigation Test DRK v GNB v PLD (version 2) #Shorts

Since so many people missed the point the first time around (TBN is not the best, DRK needs more buttons to do what PLD and GNB can do with one, and that is not fun or good) I took the advice of some people in the comments and did it more scientifically. ONLY personal mitigation is used.

Thank you to the players who came with me so I could record this /cheers

  1. Thing about TBN that makes it so good is it’s got a very short recharge as well as it give DRK dark arts if it breaks. it’s also just a 5 second 30% shield based on tanks health. It’s the best mit until level 80 PLD/GNB over take it.

  2. Here is how i would change drk, to make it have proper sustain:
TBN: put it on a 25 second cd, change shield amount to 30% base, and upgrade to 40% at 82. Remove mana cost, increase duration to 8-10 seconds.
Abyssal drain: give it 2 stacks with 30 sec cd, or just 30 sec cd, halve its damage, increase healing, separate it from carve and split.
With this, dungeon runs would be a lot easier, drk would have proper short cd mitigation tool, and would improve its healing in raids.
Oblation is a joke as it is. Too long cd, too short duration, too little mitigation. They should buff at least 1 part of it. Preferably 15-20% mitigation, 15-20 second duration or give it a 30 second cd.

  3. cool and now make a proper comparison 🙂
consistency is shit. why take tb with different hp %
(gnb dying in this comparison is just weird)
who in their right mind only uses a short cd for a tankbuster to begin with. giving more scuffed results as a whole

a short trying to give informations in a pointless circumstance/execution with a pointless conclusion
(simple math wouldve done a better job in general but, i guess, less oppertunity for a short)
