  1. Man its a shame I cant kick the door in from Materia cuz I'd be so down to fill cuz I love learning stuff LOL. I may not be a streamer/well known but I LOVE just seeing a mechanic after doing research and just puzzling it over to see how it fits with how I have to resolve things. It's the learning the dance steps while keeping pace of dps/heals/mit that I love. I actually haven't done MINE Eden but I think my savage group was, but we've got a spreadsheet thing someone put together, that lets us basically have the stats you'd have at 80 BUT your 100 toolkit (which usually just means running nothing in other slots) and I think that was the plan for FRU prep after PAX AU.

  2. the infamous slow motion effect. i love how you can go from harder content back to normal content and then you suddenly have the ability to see past, present, and future.

  3. This just in: Man who enjoys more difficult content with friends still enjoys more difficult content with friends!
I'm glad you all found the time to do this, and I hope you're able to work something out to do it again. I know you all have your concerns about savage being interesting content to stream, but this was enjoyable as a viewer. All my rwf favorites goofin (plus Zepla). I'd also asked Medic on Twitter after the race about him playing FF, so that would be cool, too. XD

  4. I'm from Orlando. The storm wasn't too bad for us, some power outages but those should be fixed up in the next few days. If you going to the Disney area they should be up and running in no time. Hope you can still make the trip!

  5. What he's describing around 9 minutes is my perception of the Ultimate clearing players' feelings. After they do an ultimate, they just keep saying there's NOTHING to do. Apparently eeeeeverything is shit after doing an Ultimate. And, of course, Ultimates don't come out very often so…

  6. The jump in clear time between the second, third and fourth bosses in a savage tier is a pretty common thing. Fight length and complexity increases notably. Your clear time on Leviathan, compared to E2S, was perfectly normal

  7. Welcome to fourth wing savage! I do hope you're able to at least give E8S a shot. It's both another good fight and thematically relevant to the ultimate.

I think this is why starting chronologically with all the savage raids doesn't work out. Coils and early Alexander are nothing like post-Creator savage design, and I've yet to see a streamer make it through Gordias without their audience getting bored, even though that doesn't reflect how fights play out at all today. I get why it's tempting to do it that way, but there are a lot of good savage fights in recent expansions that go missed because the first impression of savage is usually Coils or Gordias.

  8. you shouldn't compare world first progs with your own prog. Just because they can clear the latest raid in 8 hours as compared to the eden tier which takes 13-14 hours doesn't really tell the whole story on difficulty.

I am looking forward to all of your savage 4th fight progs. Each one is an eye opener in its own ways – you just started savage raiding to be fair.
Once you have done them, Ultimates will again be another eye opener for you and you will enjoy the FF fights even more.

  9. Another comment and a story:

I have been raiding savage this teir. I’ve dabbled before but this is the first teir I tried in earnest, and we did eventually get that clear.

Today during our normal raid time (which was called off because we finished reclears already) a static member and I decided to prog uwu. I was offclassing (playing monk instead of dnc), and it had been like 2 years since I even step foot in that instance (where I played rdm, so even more of a realignment I had to do playing a different role).

And honestly, it was like I never fucking left. No major mistakes on my end, and while we got walled at Titan gaols, I did pretty dang good for not really knowing wtf to do with 70 Monk and figuring it out as I went. Uwu is definately faster than M4S, but the mechanics are much easier… at least up to gaols which we never got past today lol.

Perhaps one day I can finally get a clear.

  10. Titan E4 so far still the best raid Senix ever made

    Best music
    Amazing and interesting mechanics
balanced for both hardcore and casual raider
MEMES, SO MANY MEMES > even my raid group meme the sh*t out of this

  11. The fact he enjoys the fight and he doesn't even know about the most hype part of the fight yet. E4S is great, one of my favorite fights in the game even topping some ultimate fights for me. FF14 Savage and Ultimates are probably the biggest killer of Wow raiding for me. It just makes WoW fights for me feel rather dull, particularly those bellow mythic difficulty outside very few heroic fights.

  12. I had a similar issue

Shadowbringers savage raiding gave me intense burnout of the game where i would log in only to raid…and not enjoy the game i had played nearly every day for the 7 years before just having a blast playing for casual fun.

Took me until halfway though endwalker(about 16 months) to shake it off and just enjoy the game for what it is, and i really prefer this feeling over the stressy intense nights of raid.

  13. Ah yes the classic "everything below this difficulty feels so slow now" experience. And it never stops. Mike is currently a the point where savage feels quite fast and relentless so normal mode feel slow and boring. Just wait until you have cleared a few ultimates and you now feel like savage bosses dont do anything at all anymore.

  14. E4S is easily one of the best fights in the game. It's very fast paced where you go from mechanic to mechanic with almost no breaks.
Tight execution, great music, it's great,
I'd highly recommend doing MINE T8S.

  15. What you say at the end is why I've started treating 14 as a single player jrpg. As an AST, there is nothing in the game outside of early prog savage or ultimates that uses even half my full kit. The fights are more interesting than in WoW (note, last I played WoW was tier one MoP), but I'm just bored 80% of the time pressing my two dps spells and occasionally throwing out a oGCD. Alliances raids are even worse, a healer is basically just a rez bot since half the players don't know the mechanics.
