Masked Carnivale Stage 32 – All That Glitters Is Blue – Umbrella Achievement – FFXIV Blue Mage

All That Glitters is Blue Achievement. It requires getting Going for Gold, which requires No Sprinting, Do not destroy the Crystal, and Casting a spell of all magical schools (Fire, Water, Ice, Lightning, Earth, and Wind). I’m fairly sure physical is not included, but you’ll have that anyway. This achieves the two tasks, Elemental Mastery, and No Walk in the Park.

You will need the following spells at LEAST.
– Loom (for Gravity)
– Bad Breath or Flying Sardine (for Interrupting Blizzard III)
– Diamondback (for the first Doll Summon in act 2)
– Exuviation (for dispelling Thunder debuff)
– Ram’s Voice and Ultravibration combo (to kill the slime)

Technically anything beyond these are up to you. Recommended are…
– White Wind for self healing (best cast around half HP)
– Aetherial Mimicry because you are a Blue Mage…
– Bristle + Breath of Magic, and Nightbloom for good DoT damage
– Most primal/boss Cooldown Spells
– Cold Fog, for comfier casting during Act 1
– Fire Angon, counts as physical and Fire, and does highest base spell potency for Physical
– J Kick because it is one of the few physical cooldown skills that hurts in Act 2
– Any Water spell, I didn’t have one specifically in my original build, and the other cooldowns cover almost all the schools of magic.

I left my combat log open so you can see what is happening. I messed up a few times, and almost failed to interrupt at the end because my controller analog snapped me back facing backwards, but I caught it before finishing. You can probably accomplish this faster if you use Moon Flute in the Opener on Act 2, or use any of the newest spells from Raiding. When I did this fight, I only had all the level 70, plus the 3 open world, and the Breath of Magic Totem, so this should be doable by anyone who just hit 80 and had the full spellbook prior to 6.45. Also noticed that Mountain Breaker can be used instead of Shock Strike, because it does Earth and Physical damage. People have also used Triple Trident to help deal damage.

Feel free to share this anywhere, Hopefully this helps anyone going for the achievement!

  1. Thanks for the guide, managed to beat it. The Rush is such a random bag sometimes, that was the only thing that really tripped me a bit, especially without sprint for the umbrella achi.

  2. This fight is infuriating. Died after a wipe from a bad Rush at 1%, and now every single Rush phase whenever I make it back has the most cursed lightning spawns that guarantee I either die to them or the fire attack that tracks you.

  3. So I initially was going to say that you should remove Whistle for Both Ends, but when I did it, Both Ends destroyed the freaking crystal. Considering that I only used it like 3 times, it's definitely better to have something else like maybe glass dance for the 2nd set of fireballs.
