  1. Samurai gets the change because samurai damage is more concentrated. Other jobs have damage concentrated in their finishers too, but generally not to the same degree as samurai. Though it's a bit weird to make them crits AND remove kaiten, which was part of what concentrated their damage so much.

  2. REALLY disappointed with those new hrothgar hairstyles. I can't believe they thought that just… covering up the ears was okay to do.

Oh well, at least the one my character has looks good. Just sucks to look forward to new content for so long and have it be… that. :/

  3. Agree with the FOMO stuff with PvP. I don't like that they would put stuff in and then intentionally take it out. It really sucks to have someone come up to you and say "Hey! That armor/mount is really awesome, how can I get it?" And you tell them that they can't because it's not in the game anymore. Challenge missions and Mage Tower had this issue in WoW (To their credit, they added Mage Tower back in permanently after enough demand.), but using dev time to make interesting things people will want and then intentionally taking it out of the game is wasteful.

A better solution would be to make older sought after items during a previous season harder to get with say, wolf marks being traded in for x items in order to trade in and get a piece or a set/weapon/whatever. This way, you'd at least have the possibility of getting it, but it'll take a bit of effort to do so.

Wish we got to see new rewards for pvp besides one armor set. Titles, glam, minions, mounts, something.

It's HUGE they are moving some skills down to lower dungeons. Some jobs are sleep inducing until level 50-60.

  4. Those Hrothgar hairstyles are unacceptable. Patiently waiting 3 years for some promised Hrothgar customization only to get a couple of half assed, slapped on and ugly hairstyles that are MISSING EARS is incredibly disappointing. Especially so since we still need a fantasia to use these hairstyles. Oh well, at least we can cover them up with some headgear…. oh wait.

  5. Kaiten being removed for "button bloat" is probably the dumbest excuse they can make to dumb down the job. There's guren&senei and shoha I&II they couldve consolidated ala PLD's expiacion instead of separate buttons, but they chose the button no one worth their salt has problem with.

  6. I don't know if getting a glamor of the guy who got absolutely clowned on by Sylvannas is something I'm interested in, but everything else about the PvP changes is great!

  7. I'm actually ok with the Samurai change. I've noticed a 6-7k peak dps swing in my opener depending on crits, and it can be the difference of a couple thousand dps when transitioning from the opener to the basic rotation. It'll make it a lot easier to track improvements and gear/rotational changes, or to determine if I made a mistake.

I've noticed some swings in other jobs too (such as summoner,) but out of everything I play Samurai has the biggest variation (I don't play dancer, it might be just as bad.)

  8. I was saying this the other day to my brother. If Sage has their partner ability at about level 10, why doesn't dancer.
Dancer damage isn't bad at low levels. But it's one of those abilities that feels core to dancer. At least give them it as soon as they get their steps.

  9. ngl, I hope Dark Knight gets more than just the Living Dead change, because Living Dead is the least of its problems. Out of all the 4 tanks, only Dark Knight doesn't get any healing from their new defensive cooldown, and the fact that Abyssal Drain was not only made to share a cooldown with Carve And Spit but also STILL needs multiple enemies for you to even get healing worth a damn is a pain in the butt. Their problem with their survivability isn't Living Dead, it's the fact they have no sustainability besides one weak heal. Why would you play Dark Knight when you could play Paladin, Warrior, or Gunbreaker and not have to worry about dying as much because you have at least something to heal you or other people up in a pinch.

  10. I can't tell how many time I wish I can just use shield without the carbuncle, especially in savage.
So often the carbuncle is away when I need that tiny extra bit to survive.

  11. I was fine until I saw the gingerbread house. There are literally SO many awesome houses they could create… and they decide to waste time making a candy house. But I’m sure people will love it (because they always love stupid shit) and entire housing wards are going to be packed with ginger bread houses that make no sense.
