As an omnicrafter I can honestly say that having some sort of way to easily distribute your stuff to your retainers would be much appreciated. However, the search function works a treat, but it IS very tedious.
Great video, thanks. Next time you should talk about Vote Kicking, some sprouts have told me they are in a toxic party, and need to kick some bad tank or lazy dps, and they have no idea how to do that. Also, i've been asked how to make sure people know when to engage the final boss of a dungeon, so I explain about the Ready Check tool.
Good video, your on the same server as me 😄 Lich is always the most expensive
YOU CAN HOLD CTRL AND THE AETHERYTE POPS UP? I'm shocked, this is a cannon event for me.
I've been playing for about a month now, sadly can't add people 🙁
As a heads up, that (Restricted) on the marketboard indicates that the item's merchant is locked behind quests. Usually/always tribe quests, I think.
Nightmilk, for example, are sold by the Sahagin.
Great video another small thing that helped me a lot is if you go to character options to display name settings at the general menu you can activate to see the job icons and color according to jobs makes it easier as healer tank and dps to see where everyone is and to see who is who without looking at the party list
Gonna add to the video by mentioning that you can turn off the "Of the XX parties currently recruiting all match you search conditions" message.
If you go into party finder and then click on the small cogwheel in the second row there is a setting that's called "Display advanced search results in log."
If you turn that off you wont see that message anymore.
Congrats for finishing Endwalker!
A couple of additional tips jumping off from the ones in the video (great tips btw!):
– If you see something listed on the marketboard that says it's not sold on a vendor anywhere, you should still not feel obligated to buy it from the marketboard! It's quite possible that the item is not sold As Is because it's a simple crafting result that you may be able to make yourself. The Cream Cheese from the video, as an example, is made from a couple of ingredients you can buy from vendors even if you can't buy the Cream Cheese itself. Basically, if you're not just looking to save time and can do a little research it can save you a lot of Gil
– In addition to the being able to focus on an Aetheryte on the map to be able to click it easier, you can do a similar thing in the game itself! If you hold down the "X" key, you can allow your mouse to "click through" stuff in the game world. Really useful if there are a ton of other players standing on top of an NPC or quest objective. No need to finagle your camera view in such a way that you can see the sparklies, just hold X and click through to it.
You can also ctrl right click on your map it will flag the spot and put it in your chat automatically.
