  1. Fun facts/comments time! A long one for a long episode!

    1. When you speak with Gaius before this video starts the cutscene is very different if you've done the Shadowbringers optional trials. That story is highly recommended, very dark, and really develops Gaius as a character if you're interested.

    2. The first cutscene here is really an "Everyone is Here" moment. There are representatives from so many of the class and job trainers that to see all the extra dialogue in this part you'd need to have the following jobs leveled to 60-70: BRD, WHM, SCH, WAR, BLM, MNK, MCH, DRG, GNB.

    3. When Thancred introduces the representatives from the eastern alliance, the Dalmascans and Bozjan resistance are from the Stormblood alliance raids and the Bozja content from Shadowbringers respectively. Of course there is unique dialogue for them as well.

    4. 36:36 – "This is Thancred" with an image and label of Thancred became a bit of a meme after us sleep deprived people on launch day marathoned our way through the MSQ and found the triple label funny.

    5. 46:50 – Props to Sicard and those two marauders for stopping an armored vehicle in its tracks with nothing but their own bodies long enough for you to destroy it!

    6. 48:30 – Last expansion there was this theme of people striving for a better future even if they won't see it, and I think with Sicard's selection for the expedition as well as this line they're already beginning to establish a theme of "passing the torch" to a new generation.

    7. 50:38 – There isn't anything important here but I love the Black Mage Guild lalafells in the background are saying things like "The Duke of Destruction has Descended" lmao

    8. I also like how in the fight against Vergilia that various party members join and leave the arena to assist their comrades fighting in the background. That plus the AoE markers outside the arena really gives the impression that the battle is bigger than just your little part.

    9. 56:55 – The "Corvosi" Emet mentions here are the people that G'raha hails from.

    10. I love how when Emet says "how had he so quickly ascended through the ranks?" he says it so sarcastically.

    11. 1:00:05 – They certainly seem to be worshipping something after being tempered, if not a god.

    12. 1:05:55 – I love how ceruleum is pretty much explicitly "magic oil."
