Let's Mod: Final Fantasy XIV — Installing/Making Eye Mods on Penumbra

@Ash Brighter — VIDEO FAQ

→ Can I see my friends see my eye mod?
No they can’t, but they can if you use the plugin called Mare Synchronos.

→ Is this going to be a series?
If there’s enough interest, yes. I’ve got enough modding content on different games like FFXIV, WoW, Mass Effect and others to make tutorials about a bunch of stuff.

→ Any other questions?
Post them in the comments and I’ll put them here.

  1. The eye mod I'm trying to create/install via penumbra is just a .png. Normally for textools I swap it with the irl_a – multi. Your tutorial went a bit fast and since there were 3 files you were working with I wasn't able to get a grasp on where my file would need to go after converting it to a texture. Do you know where I should put it?
    Do I even need to to convert it to a texture?
    After all said and done my eyes are kind of blank but not the desired mod.
    Thanks, I hope you're feeling better and appreciate your efforts!

  2. Hey so I'm trying this out right now and when I try to redirect the files it keeps saying that my tex file isn't in use and it won't let me paste the link for the textool part. I'm not sure what I'm going wrong <.<;;

  4. I know this is an sorta old video, but this REALLY helped me in installing a face mod that was just a .dds file. But I have 1 odd question, what was that macro you hit that refreshed your character and loaded the new eye texture? Thanks in advance!
