  1. I would like to thank not just 14 but Yoshi-p as well for helping me find one of the best MMORPGS but also help me find the Best streamer ever. If I had not played 14 I would never have met one Mr Krimson KB. I can't wait for the next years for 14

  2. Re: testing the game it's pretty interesting too that yoshi-p and his devs are like 40 to 50 year olds with kids and families? They don't dedicate their lives to just playing games, I'm willing to bet that they are casual gamers like most the world. So when they do their own playtesting, it's always through the lens of someone who's maybe at best proficient at games, but not always some kind of professional gamer or min-maxer. They sometimes get to tamp down expectations coming from some of the try-hards.

  3. This expansion came right as I received incredibly bad news about my father (Hes doing well now) and the message of overcoming despair in the quest "Thou must live die and know" was the next cutscene I saw when I resumed playing and it helped so much. This expansion comforted me when everything else couldn't, all while being one of the best expansions I've played.

  4. It's kind of funny how there was two major things and 1 minor thing i wanted out of EW after the bombshells that were dropped during ShB. That was to see more of the Aumorites and their civilization, to know what REALLY caused the final days, and to finally get my dang ascian robe. EW gave me all that and MORE, and the craziest part is that it was all in a single zone. EW really is the tops for 14 and even though I still say the final cutscene with Emet before the hades fight in ShB is my favorite, there are way more genuinely great scenes in EW.

  5. I never skipped the credits due to the song that played when your character walks by. I cried and cried. From 1.0 to this….what a journey. I will always love this game
    and my ffxiv family.

  6. When looking at the credits, at the moment when it shows our character’s name as the Warrior of Light, it’s moments like that which make you feel appreciated and part of the journey. It also makes me think of the final verses of Footfalls:
As we ride again (As you turn your eyes to the stars)
To another end (Oh, I'll be there)
Where it all begins (With my chorus guiding you)
    Forge ahead (Forge ahead)
We’re going to have another journey to go on while remembering the moments we had of the old one. Looking back on good and bad moments, it’s going to be special for a lot of players and it’s not stopping anytime soon.

  7. I do recommend actually sitting the whole credits through, because it’ll play Flow when you’re walking past Venat rather than, you know, arr ul’dah like a lot of streamers got

  8. I'm not even done A Realm Reborn yet, and even with the MMO mechanics, it truly does feel like a Final Fantasy game through and through. Easily the best MMO I've ever played, and I still have a looooooong way to go.

I'm sure I'll forget everything about the finale by the time I reach it myself, so that I can be surprised and emotional all over again.

  9. Yoshida, Soken and Ishikawa…as well as EVERY other member of that dev team…deserve their kudos and their plaudits – to take what was known as a public disaster and turn it into an ever-evolving, ever-fantastic, ever-memorable game with one of the best narrative threads in any MMORPG, FF or RPG in general.

    Outstanding work…simply outstanding!

  10. While I was confident in Yoshi-P and his team delivering on EW, I wont lie that part of me is worried mainly due to how hyped up it was. Think about it, not only was it a follow-up to ShB, but it's also the final chapter in the Zodiark/Hydaelyn story. On top of it, FF14's popularity skyrocket around ShB's conclusion due to the WoW exodus
Any doubts left were gone after the Elpis section. The dev team did an amazing job in bringing the story to a satisfying end, and I am glad to be a part of this journey as well as yours, Kb.

  11. This was a truly phenomenal journey. I have a ton of alts, so i'll b experiencing it a lot over and over again, but it never gets old, never gets tiring. that's a;ready a sign of a fantastic story and game. But FF XIV is just special. The love and care Yoshi-P and the devs put into this game, and to the players as well…I love it all. And at the very end, having our character's name appear AFTER the director is truly special.

Usually during credits, the 'best is for last', which is why the Director of a movie or game usually appear last (more often than not) along with the sponsors. But with OUR name appearing last, to me it says something. Yoshi-P says that WE are a part of this team as well, and I love it <3 i look forward to many more adventures with everyone! See you all in Eorzea :3

  12. Enjoyed your journey dude. Amazing expansion only hampered by a couple of music parts. Amazing how silky the expansion is, bar login played from day 1 and only encountered 2 bugs.. Incredible.

  13. I definitely loved that the entire Endwalker trailer gave the impression that Zodiark and the moon were endgame. And then going to the moon 3-4 levels into the game and kicking down Zodiark with Elpis being the REAL huge surprise, and then outer space Ultima Thule for endgame… Awesome misdirection.
