  1. i started as arcanist and very naturally progressed into scholar, i didnt intend to become a healer when i started at all, but im having a blast! your tips are so helpful, especially prioritizing myself and not needing the tank to be capped all the time, theyre the two things i really do struggle with the most. i love that you explained the reasoning behind every point, which makes me get WHY i need to do certain things, not just that i DO, end of story.
ps i love your avatar, its so cute x)

  2. I started learning Scholar recently after trying out Astrologian but not enjoying the mechanics it has, so i've been rather confused on how Scholar works and how i should position myself as one.

  3. I need you to make more videos. I'm glad the algorithm brought me to you. Now i have some excellent videos to share with all these 🌱 popping up all over Primal. Lol

  4. I think an important tip also is that healing gets hard around level 50 because of an ilevel jump in gear. I wasn’t struggling with Scholar until that point and then it eased after my gear got better. It makes a big difference.

  5. Here's one… examine your tank to see what you're up against for the run. The HP usually gives things away too. I usually tank but do the same for my healer and I generally do an initial small pull to see the capabilities of the party. Some get annoyed but nothing is more annoying than starting with a big pull only to wipe because your healer isn't geared to a sufficient level or the aoe spam drones on because DPS is too low.

  6. My only real take is coming from tanking and healing sasatasha when I was starting out to the game a few weeks ago, I knew what wall to wall pulls were but wasn't confident in pulling them off and found even pulling 2-3 groups my healers had to become cure bots, as a healer for company seals same dungeon the GBN tank right at the big room before the final boss decided to pull almost everything then tank it outside the boss door, only for us to wipe and his response to be "just spam heal me" as if all I wanted was to hit one button, so TLDR: at the very low levels tanks be nice and slow pull, outside role actions you ain't got shit for mitigation available.

  7. I don't remember the exact quote, but I remember someone saying "DPS is just preemptive healing; the enemy can't hurt you if they're dead".
Lovely video, you have such a nice vibe about you!

  8. Hey Everyone!!! Just wanted to let you know we currently have a poll going on in the Community Tab about future content and a new update video! If we get 100 likes on it (Update post), I'll open up a Community Discord for everyone to chat! I've seen so many amazing conversations here and would love to keep them going, but wasn't sure if that's what you guys wanted!

  9. Excellent tips!! 😀 additionally id like to add: Use ur skills and abilities!! Ive seen healers be very stingy with benediction and and other off globals bc they are "for emergencies" and they dont want to "waste" them. but even if they are on a longer, off global cooldown, if u dont use them, then thats the true waste. as a whitemage still not at level cap and tank main first and foremost, i went into the healing job with the experience to USE WHATEVER U HAVE. 120+secs are shorter than u think, especially between mob pulls 😀 dont go casting those all willynilly as soon as theyre off cooldown, but do use them!! ;D

  10. Re: healing dungeon dps
Another good point to do damage in large trash pulls is that most healers are likely going to easily do top aoe damage. Skilled dps can keep up but it’s so easy to do massive aoe damage with healer aoe dps spells. Healers have some of the best aoe damage skills in the game if everything is ready the whm can nuke 1/4 of every single mob’s health in 2 gcds. (Whm’s holy also aoe stuns and this works as full 100% damage mitigation for about 4 gcds if nobody else built mob cc immunity.)

  11. I died to my first extreme levi so many times…every death to the same mechanic. The damn water noodle yeeting me off the cliff. Why did i die to this you ask? cause of all the damage my allies take when the blue orbs and all the other aoes come up so i lost track of the boss whilst trying to make sure everyone lives and then weeeeee into the water…woops

  12. You missed #8. Rescue! Try to position a chasm between yourself and your target. Rescue the target so they fall into the void.

.. Use mainly on friends.. and those that deserve death.

  13. Love your tank, especially in dungeons, take a strong rope, about 25 yalms in length, and tie one end to yourself and the other to the tank (most of them have a special metal ring at the back of their armour).

As brutal as it sounds dps are the redheaded stepchildeen in this, don't chase after them if they run ahead and start takimg damage, if they die to the aoe, make sure you and your lovely tank are close to being toped and there is no sudden aoe in the way, only than should you pop the swiftcast and raize the naught dps.

  14. Thank you for this! I've rarely tanked or healed in WoW, and jumping into FFXIV, I wanted to stretch my limits a bit. Watching this makes me feel a lot better in wanting to learn AST.

  16. I started playing about a week and a half ago, already level 51 WHM but jesus was it hard to adapt to healing in FF compared to other MMO’s.. im so used to being able to use mouse over macros from WoW (despite me not having played in like 3 years) that I get flustered sometimes having to manually click on people to heal them while also trying to dodge 7 different mechanics being thrown at me 🥲 Oh and don’t get me started on how bad I am at managing my GCD.. I once cast regen out of panic in a lvl 40 dungeon and bc of that both my dps died since i couldn’t cast medica for another second while they were on like 300hp.. at least they were nice about it and were cheering me and the tank on LMAO
