Is Venat/Heidi Evil? Not necessarily. She's no hero though. Regardless of her intentions, she basically damned an entire species. Her plans kinda worked out, but we can't ignore the cost. Countless souls were mutilated and twisted, nevermind the pain and torment their reincarnations have been forced to endure time and time again. I allow that the Ascians aren't much better, but they have a reasonably logical and understandable end goal, even if their methods are a bit twisted. Considering that the aether on each reflection trickles back to the Source, and that each soul is rejoined to its primary counterpart, I don't think its logical to call it murder. We're clearly capable of being both our Warrior and Ardbert, as we did with Seto, so it seems clear to me that the original personality isnt completely destroyed when a soul is rejoined. I think the biggest thing is that both Venat and the Convocation wanted to save their people, they just both went down horrible roads to do it.
