Yoshi P absolutely does play favoritism with black mage, it's called implicit bias and that's why it got buffed to the point of overcorrecting and that's why its PvE kit has never been completely butchered like just about every other job in the game (which, as a fellow black mage main, I am thankful for). Doesn't matter how much he says there's no job favoritism, actions speak louder than words, machinist and healer players would never let him get away with saying that
So BLM will become frustrating and back to least played and lowest winning job in PvP because the bloody community memed about BLM.
If they revert all BLM changes to before 6.11a, I’m giving up on the BLM having played it for 10 years
Damnit Yoshida. Leave BLM changes alone. BLM was frustrating as hell to play in PvP before as it takes so long to build up stack to get a pathetic weak snare and a sleep cc that never seems to hit players. Lowest health so every job can easily kill them

Go play Sage in CC, it's lowkey OP. Lowest healing output of all healers but the damage is rivaling other dps. The burst potential is really high too
For guard, I don't want they change anything. Such that it becomes on top if there is race condition. In fact, I want them to keep it this way to punish people who dive and think can run without being punished. Another scenario is MCH LB. Imagine id they change guard in top of race condition, the person can still DPS and (if they are really good), they put guard in the same time as MCH LB hit (which basically mch need to cast it about 1s, meanwhile this person with guard can maybe even kill your team mate).
The only thing they need to change is Purify on how the buff works. (This is actually same deal to GNB invul work where GNB become 1 HP first then invul effect later (thus tou have rare chance occurance that GNB die due to 1 HP first lol)). They should put purify buff on the top of the list before delete the detrimental effect. Thus if you come out from the debuff, you will 100% get purify effect.
For job balancing, I hope they have clear line on debuff va damage, buff vs damage, aoe vs single. Currently, I see nothing about this. For example DNC, they can only gives damage buff to 1 person and self, but the number is 10% VS BRD buff to player in AoE and the number is 5% (oh and DNC need to combo first while BRD is 1 button). How about RDM resolution vs BRD silence ? RDM can easily silence multiple people and get 8k damage on top, while BRD only 1 with 6k dmg (to potentially 10k dmg).
I agree with what you said; when they show interest in balancing and making pvp better, it makes me more and more interested in its future.
People do report meet him at lower rank on twitter, from bronze to diamond, might not be boosted. Maybe just because they are all in Japanese?

I'm assuming SMN was one of the jobs with lower win rates in CC which justifies the buffs. But I pretty much only play Frontline atm since I got everything I wanted from the Garo event and SMNs are really OP. I'm glad some adjustments for jobs will be implemented for Frontline too. But don't touch my SCH haha

IMO SMN needs what every jobs have gotten in pve for years: AoE that are stronger on the primary target, but weaker on other targets
It's easy to balance FL. Just bring pvp materia back specifically for large scale battles only and increase FL only magic resistance to all jobs as a whole. Too much thinking on individual jobs instead of general changes that will effect the entirely of the game.
Just so you know where I'm coming from… I hate PVP and will always hate PVP. I got to Series Rank 25 to get the outfit and stopped. 🚫 That being said; I do like the format of the Crystalline Conflict and the moving the Crystal thing. And that the matches are short. What I don't like is that for whatever reason my win rate is more like 33%. You would think with two teams of random people your win rate would be around 50%. I also ran into a lot of 'suspicious' happenings that lead me to believe there's a lot of add-ons or automatic scripts going on. So until that is fixed, PVP will be nothing but an unfun grind I endure to get the prize they're dangling in front of me.
The whole Black Mage preferential treatment. 😆 Even if Yoshi P insists it doesn't, you know the people working under him know he plays Black Mage so even if it's subconscious, they will give it a bit of extra love. 😉
I'll be honest, I didn't expect them to be this quick with the transparent info update. And I appreciate that. I only play PVP occassionally, but I know a lot of people who really like it, and ever since the Crystal Conflict addition, I definitely play PVP more often than I did before (where I basically only struggled through one match of frontlines if I had it in my Wonderous Tales and that was it).
So many years balancing this game and more to come cause ppl will never be satisfied even if they get it right there’s always gonna ppl that play good as sh.t as that class and ppl will blame the balancing cause they can’t play as good this will be never ending imo.

Even if they buff blm I’m still getting ran down by monk Sam and dragoon. Just more damage out before I get molested
I'm actually fine with them reverting all of the blm changes. It was strong before IMO, but fire is so massively underwhelming in a game mode that almost entirely revolves around CC.
If anything, they should keep the potency on Fire/Fire IV/Flare and make dots stronger as well, but reduce Ice values to the original amounts.
