  1. As I've said in the previous video, the Embers OST that plays during this fight is such an amazing tribute not only to Lahabrea, but to all Ascians as well. Thunderer, Without Shadow, Soken even managed to snuck in Akademia Anyder,

As for the raid itself, I definitely did not expect Athena here to be the one behind it all, even possibly discovering how the Ancients discovered a way to "Transcend" their own limits. During the first wing of Pandaemonium we fight Hesperos who was titled "Hemitheos" (half-god), then on the second wing two more with Hegemone and Agdistis. Compare this during the Myths of the Realm Alliance raid series were we end up fighting The Twelve who are basically what people today consider as "Gods". It's not hard to see how these two can be somewhat related to each other.

I also love how they did Ascian Prime merging scene callback all the way back from the HW dungeon when Hephaistos merged with Athena here. At least it now makes sense why the stoic, duty driven Lahabrea here was nothing like the one we knew and fought since ARR (our mustache twirling Lahabrea).

  2. The whole thing is that "Yes, We literally told Venat our entire story." She even says that it was your stories that kept her going, that's the actual meaning of her flashes back to You walking towards Emet-Selch. It's not her "Taking the hits for us" like people immediately keep thinking. It's her thinking to herself "My Little spark could keep walking through soul shattering pain. I can, too." It's just like how people mistake "The First Bearer of the [Azem's] Crystal" referred to Azem, but it referred to Hades himself. He made the crystal in secret out of love for his friend. He walked the world, not just the Source, but all the reflections. And I'd hazard he walked them, not as "Emet-Selch" but as "Azem," giving people reason to give Azeyma and Azzim their names, as they too represent the Sun. But really, it's all information that we find "Technically True" in the moment, because he don't have the correct context.

Like, we still don't fully know what the Echo IS. Venat helps us use the Echo to view the past to see Hermes and Metieon and the flower gift conversation, but she as experienced as she is, should see and know we don't have the capacity for Creation Magicks. We KNOW that one of the Powers of the Echo is to break down the boundaries of souls, It's the excuse for The Two Ascian Primes we see in story (Lahabrea+Igeyorhm and Mitron-Lohgrif/Gaia-Lohgrif). We also know that the boundaries of the soul ALSO includes the body surfing power, a Sahagin Priest with the Echo, the one who summoned Leviathan waaaay back in Through the Maelstrom, Kept getting oneshot by Merlwyb, and kept soul hopping to another nearby Sahagin and immediately remake their body. Hell, Even Zenos with his borrowed/Stolen Echo learned how to body surf instinctively, a fact which shocked Elidibus. So really, I don't think Athena had a hand in the Resurrective Immortality of the Ascians. Infact, I'd like to Supposite my own theory. Lahabrea, Emet-Selch and Elidibus were NOT spared Sundering. Instead, they were too close to Zodiark during the time of the Hydaelyn Kick sundering him, and were killed by her causing her to panic to try and keep them alive (Because they were supposed to be), and thusly accidentally dropped their still whole souls in the rift. The reason I think this, is because Not a one of the Souls kept by Zodiark were sundered. Zodiark itself was sundered, but the constituate souls were simply separated out wherever their soul was positioned. So the ones in the missing left hand got sent to the third world, A few tentatcles got sent to the Twelfth, and so on. But the souls that made up those body parts were still whole (Hythlodaeus was still whole and sane inside Zodiark, long enough to muse how odd it is to Hades). So I'd wager, at the very epicenter of the Sundering, she didn't actually sunder individual souls, just massive pieces of Aether, like Limbs of Zodiark. Why only Elidibus, Emet-Selch and Lahabrea? Elidibus was part of Zodiark and would doubtless be there. Emet-Selch's only hope was to keep Zodiark, so of course he's there, and Lahabrea at that time was still only about Duty and Duty alone (in my opinion he probably kept the crystal and stuffed it back inside himself to try and Use Athena's madness to find a means to unsunder, since jamming multiple souls together in a rejoining WOULD be part of her research). So these three were absolutely the closest and fighting off Hydaelyn, while the others were either already sidelined by getting rocked, or were trying to drum up more support for Zodiark to make him strong enough to beat Hydaelyn.

  3. I'm pretty positive Elidibus wasn't sundered because he was Zodiark's heart. As for Lahabrea… it could have something to do with Athena's research into souls "ascending to a higher plane" maybe? The paragons re-formed in the void when they were killed, so maybe Lahabrea somehow pulled them into the void (said "higher plane")
