  1. You are hearing a lot of the different version of the same music….that's because that's the expansion's main theme. And all towns and maps have a day/night theme song.

  2. Also, on english VA: yes its way better then ARR but still puts some people off emotionaly sometimes. If you got used to japanese expressions and they work better for emotional immersion. You gave ENG a try.
Me, personally can't feel the same emotions as japanese actors can give me. Just dont feel like playing it with ENG VA because some ppl got used to it and keep asking for it.
In Stormblood for example its gonna sound weird sometimes since its a more Oriental themed expansion. Just play with voices that get you more attached to the characters.

  3. I remember there should have been a line saying that since everyone know you have saved Eorzea so they will not hunt you down in a flagrant way something like that.

  4. Been enjoying watching this series but it is driving me mad you haven't seem to realize you can summon your chocobo to fight with you when doing non-instanced content, such as quests and fates. It's so frustrating it's actually starting to make it hard to watch lol

  5. From this point on, every time you go to new zone, you can unlock flying there just by finding Aether Currents from that map. You can do this by using the Aether Compass in your key items inventory (5th icon when you open your inventory, right after 4th inventory bag. You've used some key items on few quests also). Welcome to Heavensward. ^^

  6. Heavensward is where the appreciation truly begins. The music, the melancholia of the dragons, the later fights, the story, all of it starts an uptrend, a trend that goes Heavensward… if you will.

  7. The island are floating due to wind aspected aether crystals which make up big parts of the rocks up there. You can actually see the crystals/aether on many surfaces there as a green hue when you look out for it.

  8. It was a great episode discovering the new city of Ishgard and many the new zones. Now you will be also Aether Wind Hunting and adventuring the zone to find but you will find that out. The music 🎶 makes Heavensward along with the excellent story. I’m still completing the patches for Heavensward though completed the story.

Im leaving this here for you Quazii! You should really try to follow this FF14 player “Lynx Kameli” on his channel. He’s a top high end player in FF14. While he don’t put out a super lot of content, what he does put out is excellent as well in player perspective at the high end and speaks also to your language as a high end caliber player. His latest vid is a great perspective for raiding comparison between WoW and FF14. https://youtu.be/96KtLjdlaRw

  10. Before the events of 1.0, Coerthas was green and looked a lot more like a mix of La Noscea and the Shroud; the fact that they've adapted to the cold so quickly is testament to Ishgardian resilience, but it also means that there's been a lot of problems with food supply, etc.

  11. Each and every zone has at least 2 soundtracks. One for daytime and one from night time, rotating every 12 "eorzea hours", so 6am-6pm. In newer expansions they will include even more soundtracks per zone which is simply stunning. In Character configuration menu, under the UI settings submenu and the HUD tab, you can find the clock type secion. There you can tick "Eorzea time" and your clock (top right) will show the ingame time as well as your local time, or server time, if you want (all 3 even). Eorzean time is used for the gathering classes as some gathering nodes only appear depending on ingame time. Also, there is a weather change every 8 eorzean hours.

  12. Something to take account of as you take in the world is that HW is heavy with little random narratives during the story progression and patch releases. Similar to how the characters move and say different things as the story progresses, there are more NPCs with their own on going stories. Like the story of Maiden and a commoner man. In one of the zones the journey of a trader and his chocobo. The story of a little orphan miqote girl. And the ill fates of various construction workers looking to rebuild Ishgard and expand. Back in the days we had way more time to notice these things but it was those tiny things that made you think that the team was having fun while they worked on the game. Sadly they tone down these little in later expansions since it was a bit of extra work. The do still have little minor storylines here and there but less based on as the story and patch progressions and more static in the moment or fixed on time of day. Another thing they did was had a bit of story and flare to the FATES. More have little npc sequences that eventually start up the FATES. So sometimes if you see a random NPC or mob standing around, you know a fate related to them is about to instance. ARR had a few too and HW continues with a few more.

  13. Please enjoy the snowy spires of Ishgard. They have nice goodies in the tavern too…probably. 😀

Also, love the Astrologium Athenaeum. So much astrology there (such stars wow) – pretty much converted me from Summoner/Scholar to main Astrologian since Heavensward. 🙂

  14. Lore time!
The camp you visit at 21:12 is practically how all 1.0 camps used to look like. What you see in the background is also how the Aetherytes used to look like, as opposed to the bigger ones we're now used to. The freezing of Coerthas during the calamity was so instantaneous, that you can find many structures and even water formations in the Western Highlands that were almost frozen instantly, including waterfalls and other interesting structures.

  15. Just a little something for you to enjoy. If you use the throw emote on a snow ground, you throw snowball. And since we, lalas, are closest to the ground, we are snowball machine gun 😀

  16. Ishgards night theme just makes you wanna just stand in the city & listen to the majesty of it. It's one of the best city themes in the game rivaled in my eyes only to the Crystarium in Shadowbringers but you will hear that once u get there.

  17. Fun fact, the aetheryte in Camp Riversmeet is an aetheryte from 1.0, being overwhelmed by the ice aspected aether that turned all of coerthas into a snowy tundra (in 1.0 it wasnt covered in snow, the calamity broke the aetherial attunement of the region), there's a later zone maybe 57-59 that has some derelict settlements that also have 1.0 aetherytes. 🙂

  18. FunFact : Haurchefant is Count Edmont’s son but since he was not born from his legal wife, his surname was Greystone. Greystone was the surnames of nobles’ illegitimate children which means those children were worthless like pebbles on the road. It reflected how Ishgard had a great discrimination between commoners and nobles.

Fortunately Count Edmont loved his sons equally. And while he was quite harsh on eldest and youngest sons, he tended to do every request from Haurchefant, including accepted us into Ishgard as wards because he always felt bad for Haurchefant not being able to use his family’s surname. Artoirel even mentioned this point to us. (He must feel a bit frustrate of Count Edmont’s action.)

  20. The English dub is very good from HW on. ARR OTOH…

As for memories of the first time, it's why I'm glad there's NG+. It's been so long since I've done some content that I've forgotten things. Those little things still hit just as hard.
