  1. the healing on bloodwhetting only matters for dungeons and even then it's like 2 extra aoes each pull your healer gets to do, so its not like mobs die way faster because of it anyways.

  2. The healing from Warrior is mainly good after the damage. The main things that are defensively covered by Warrior is the aoe shield and the lil top up heal. The Regen is best after the damage has happened.

  3. I honestly worry about this, unlike Xenos I don't like WAR, mostly because of its design being so simple, but my real problem is how come the easiest tank job to play is also the most OP? Like even if it weren't WAR it's bad design in my eyes to have the easiest job be so OP on a role, because at that point, why would you play another job? You have this one job that is invincible every 4 minutes, can top themselves to full with little to no help (this is not exclusive to dungeons, go play the job correctly, yes is harder on ultimates, but you can still pull up around 60% of your health back) and on top of that it does more damage than the others while still having the same or close to same mitigation on it, why would I play another tank? It's weird to me that they buffed WAR more than PLD. Even when Xenos says that for wave canon he'd trade that, the truth is, it is still possible to survive it, specially when your co tank gives you a personal when they invul, and if it is a GNB you're not gonna die, period.

I just really don't understand SE priority to buff jobs, they say harder to play = more damage, then they do this, old PLD was low despite being the hardest, they "fixed" PLD to help their damage, and now it deals less damage (great job) they keep buffing WAR for seemingly no reason, I used to main PLD/DRK, this expansion since DRK has been the top dps, and so many people swapped, I've become more of a DRK/GNB and yeah despite how clunky GNB is, it is really good, fully agree with what Xeno said, it just bothers me to not have an answer for what they do I guess.

  4. Yeah it definitely feels like we're in the minority when we say that GNB is just annoying to play. A lot of people think it's cool and fun and don't really pay attention to what the job is actually doing and how that effects what it needs to be doing as a tank. I swear the people who designed the job didn't play it at lvl 90. The reason DRK spammy burst is fine and GNB isn't is because you can easily replace any DRK OGCD with any other without losing something, but missing out on a continuation because you needed to push other buttons to not die is a permanent detriment.

  5. Like people joke about WAR being a healer, but honestly that really only applies if you are in a solo situation, or if you are in a dungeon and your healer died/is bad. In an ultimate all the mechanics are going to more or less one shot you if you don’t do them correctly anyway so maybe all you’re doing is saving the healer a single target cast to heal you after a buster with Thrill+Equilibrium, which isn’t a lot.

  6. Now Warriors NOT only have the best Selfsustain for majority of the most played content in game.
But now even the top DPS tank… great meanwhile my DRK with 0 selfsustain don't even have good sustained damage…
Why the fuck DRK even exist at this point ? to have a Job to be a pain in the ass to do the most played farm content with ? I want my HW Drk back when you could chose between damage or selfsustain mid combat. freaking loved that.

  8. I know this is a tank video but the FF logs completely stole my attention. I’ve started to main MCH and while it definitely feels better to play I didn’t realize it benefited from the buffs that much, you love to see it.
Too bad about RDM though, I don’t play it but I’ve always liked the design so here's hoping it doesn't get left in the dust for too long.

  9. ye, if you have that internet fake OCD it fks with u that gunbreakers rotation is uneven
it's like finding out after you built someone that you have left over screws or too less screws

  10. I really don't like using "All Percentiles" to judge damage.
If you're playing FF14, you're only really playing the class right when you're orange.
"All Percentiles" includes everyone that ever parsed, or got parsed, and that includes many people making countless mistakes.
I ask you, the reader: Do you want FF14 damage to be balanced when the ice mage is playing vs. the adderal addicted samurai? Or do you want FF14 to be balanced when the jobs are being played correctly?
If people want to talk about balance in FF14, do so with the filter on 90%ile or even higher.

  11. Gunbreaker is good if they don't drift. It's one of those jobs where if the burst ever gets out of sync with the other cooldowns it hurts a lot. Also I love that I'm not the only person who thinks double down was a mistake.

  12. people like to think bloodhwetting is stronger than it is. it's god tier in aoe circumstances, which means dungeons, but in a raid environment you aren't going to get enough hits out to consistently full heal from it

  13. The Warrior buffs are great, but they're still always going to be Ol' Reliable. A simple rotation means few should mess it up except on downtime even if it's not as damaging, and their survivability makes them a consistent asset for their job. I'm not saying all Tanks should be Warrior simple, but the more they get buffed, the more apparent it feels the Tanks in general need some reworks and new ideas when everyone else is overcomplicating what the effective Shoto of Tanks can do much more easily.

  14. I main GNB, and I can say with a certainty that it is nigh on impossible to play that class well without GCD drift from one way or another at level 90, and it is rough

God forbid that you die and have to recover

  15. What you said about smn at the start is the reason i played it over RDM in the last tier. It has a lot of instacasts and its burst doesn't require you to go melee. It bothers me because i like red mage but i found it too frustrating to play compared to smn.

Also agree on gnb being frustrating. Drifting, continuation (while needing to use defensive cooldowns) and no mercy are frustrating to deal with.

  16. I like GnB but the only reason I don't use it anymore is because I main DRK and my gear is 2.5; for the life of me I can't play that class if it's not 2.4… What I currently hate is how absurdly strong WAR is now. The balance team is just as bad as the League of legends one. xff

  17. I just want No Mercy and Continuation to be stack based. That way I know i'll get my full burst, and i'll have more flexibility with weaving defensives during burst.
But it'll prob never happen, and i'll jus have to pop defensives early like usual

  18. At the end of shb, I leveled an alt for funsies and had to choose between maining DRK or GNB and GNB was really fun at the time, but I ultimatly mained DRK instead and I'm glad for it because GNB just felt so freaking weird to me and to add insult to injury, SE gained the phobia of SKS + CRIT on gear for tanks, so trying to get any SKS on tank gear results in a huge dps loss.

  19. WAR healing is kinda disgusting now specifically for UWU. Shake is extremely strong now and doesnt fuck up lb cheese and you get huge value out of raw intuition during garuda and ifrit since you can AoE heal like crazy.

  20. continuation IMO is basically the identity of GNB. i'm not sure how xeno wants to change it, but if they removed it, i would basically not play the job anymore. sure, it makes weaving your mitigations harder during burst windows and forces you to plan a bit more, but that's just part of the job and i hope they don't mess with it too much. i think there are other aspects of the job that are way worse than continuation (which is the fun part)

  21. I personally like continuation, I don't mind not having the full combo during no mercy because at the end the class still deals good damage and I feel like catering too much to the burst window means supporting the 2min window meta that I dislike. So it isn't that I don't see what you're saying, it's just that they're not a problem to me. What is a problem to me is the 1min 2min mess that is a product of the 3 cartridges and the bad design of how they get used, that stuff is beyond terrible.

  22. Does GNB still have that problem with No Mercy not quite lasting long enough?

Also who the hell honestly thinks Continuum is fun? But then I should probably stop myself before I go into a huge rant/tangent and simply say GNB is a clear victim of 14's short-sighted Job design and hyperfocus on balance over Job Identity.

Like it would be so much more interesting if you could save up the bullets and use them for different effects and instead of just combo go brrr

  23. It's the same mistake they made with the physical melee/ranged split and machinist. They made melee jobs stronger to compensate for downtime, but then they designed out most of that downtime and made machinist mostly obsolete. Hopefully they'll come to a reasonable middle-ground.

  24. Im still, STILL very confused of the raid buffs provided by Bard and Dancer
whats the point to pick a so called a low adps, but provides raid buff job, if their rdps are also the lowest???
    like………..
What is the point??? someone with a brain actually think about it and tell me what the buffs actually does there.
