I've played since 1.0 – that game was ROUGH, the lag was so unreal, the UI was awful, and I was in the closed alpha through the end of 1.0; still play FFXIV but it's MUCH more enjoyable now under Yoshida's guidance
One of my friends is a 1.0 player, he's retired his 1.0 character now though.Very cool guy.
There some 1.0 play throughs that how I followed the game b4 arr was announced plus during that time the lodestone forums where open to public to read.
I played 1.0, my miqo is still around with the nifty back tattoo. Though for all the missteps, I enjoyed the fishing, if only they would add it to Gold Saucer like they did with the 1.0 mining/botany as mini-game machines.
I was not here at the end of 1.0 but I was here for the end of another MMO that didn't had the chance to get a rework : Tabula Rasa. That was something!
1.0 Player, not many of us left, but we are still here playing the game we love and support
Hi, 1.0 player, how many 1.0 vets you run into in game also depends on the server you are on. You will find more on Legacy Servers, such as Sargatanas on Aether (Data Center), where I am. Some have changed data centers/worlds over the years to be with friends or different communities. But a lot stay on their legacy server, like myself, because we got our player house during 2.0 when the player base was much smaller, and I don't want to re-enter the housing market again. In case you didn't know, legacy characters have a tattoo on their upper back.
