  1. It is, an excellent time to start. With the storyline started in 2.0 finally complete, you can binge it all if you wish, and have a non-stop, epic journey. And then have even more hours of side content waiting for you. Even if you no-life the game for a year, you'll still have stuff to do, and new stuff coming!

  2. Welcome! Thank you so much for checking out the comments! Whether you have played FFXIV before or are just looking at getting into it for the first time, please let me know if you have any questions, or would like any help in game! One of the most common reasons people don't stick with FFXIV once they start it, is because they have no one they feel they can play with – and content is definitely better when experienced together. 💜

  4. Pretty much content on ffxiv is very refreshing since they put some minor gameplay enhancement like the auto umbrella which is a nice touch!! I was totally shock, its like you didn't asked for this nice feature but they give it anyway.

  5. Absolutely. =)

While FFXIV is a MMORPG of 10 years there IS that worry of:
    – Everyone is so ahead of me with gear, skill and rewards that I'll never get close to those people.
    – No one is touching any of the older content anymore because its old content so it might have alot of wasted content.
    – Even if I get into the game will I make any connections/friends?

The short answer? It is NOT late at all. FFXIV focus's progression via a long, BIG story from start to finish. You will still experience and come across players doing the older-content (Because of the ilvl/level sync system and such), and you will experience almost everything the even new players still do to this day. The only "Late" thing really with FFXIV is doing current end-game content freshly, so actually enjoying a weekly progression doing difficult boss fights, getting gear bit by bit and so forth. But whenever a new set of End-Game Content comes out (Which is around every 8 month from now), anyone who is at max level, can have multiple ways to get gear to get into those new end-game with little grinding. Meaning, you can never be left behind once you hit max level.

There will be ALOT of unlock yes, but you will definitely come across people you'll enjoy playing with, talking with and most definitely will help you unlock all the necessary and fun content easily. =) The game itself does give you easy indicators to show you what you can unlock afterall.

And finally, while this is a MMORPG With end-game content, fashion hunting, lots of side stories that expands the lore and unlocks other boss fights and so forth, the main focus of this game will always, always be the big Story Line from level 1 to 90, a story EVERY player (Minus them digosttinnnnn cutscene skippers) has gone through and experienced and, the majority definitely loved. Lol so if you're a huge fan of grand storyline in games, you will be taking your time going through that. And if you're not? Well, as mentioned above, getting geared and ready to start doing end-game content does not take too long either.

  6. As a fellow player, thanks for reminding me why I love this game, and why I started a new alt this morning after they game came back up.
Every word of your video reminds me why I come back to Eorzea, to play with sprouts and help them as I was once helped. To walk along the road together.

  7. Not saying there isn't some out there but I personally don't know any game that does as much to keep even the oldest content modern, fresh and current. Especially over the past year, old content has seen big modernization and streamlining. Plus there is planned graphics refresh coming soon.

  8. A Realm Reborn needs to update the voice acting jn the story quest.

Going from ARR to Heavenward was a jarringly disbelief experience because of the voice actor xhanges.

2023 is a year of new mmorpgs.

I say wait and see how Throne and Liberty goes, but hopes are low because NCsoft.

  9. It's an awesome game. Right now I'm just about to get to 500 hours in this game and I am still a sprout. I've been doing pretty much all I can in this game, from leveling ALL the jobs to at least 50 to crafting to getting mounts and I am REALLY excited since I'm soon starting endwalker. I want to get into raiding once I complete the MSQ, I want to explore everything this game has to offer.

And most of all, I want to help others enjoy it too. The community has been so nice to me and every other sprout I've seen that I just feel I have to get those positive vibes cycling.

  10. I started in October 2022 and I can honestly say that the game as a whole is better than anything I've played previously. I've just finished Heavensward so now I'm focusing on getting used to the diadem, scrips and collectables. By the end of each expansion there is more and more to take on-board and it can sometimes feel like you don't have time to focus on any one thing because there's other things you need to do as well. It's not a complaint, everyone needs to find their own balance and their own journey. What's important to someone isn't necessarily important to another and that's what makes the game experience as a whole unique. Play the game the way you want to play it. The options seem endless with so many different things you can do and not be forced into continuous fighting, or the msq, or gathering or crafting. Obviously it is beneficial to do the daily duty things but apart from that, anything goes.

  11. The best time to start the game is either the X.3 Patch (which is right now) or the X.55 Patch of an expansion. The former gives you enough time to play through the mainstory and do sidestorycontent like old raids in a very chill pace, the later gives you enough time to play the mainstory before the new expansion and join everyone in asking the age old question: "Where content?!?"
