  1. Just imagine…

They create a universe…a world…in every FF game that is unique. And the they implemented it fo FFXIV:ARR in a good, quality way….

    just imagine…

oh and there are the YorHa raids…my favourite….implemented really great…

  2. FUN FACT #1:
now you can find Alpha roaming the world…maybe he will be in Kugane market? Or in Othard? who knows… 😉

    FUN FACT #2:
now you will meet Alpha on every summer event/ FFXIV:ARR events just strolling by …. like the Alipoah sisters xD

The fact, that they started a story in Stoormblood, and they continue two expansions later and it all click…now thats some masterfully crafted world/ story. Damn, most MMO plans only for 3-6months ahead xDD
And the music….seriously its getting better and better…
Every Aliance Raid/ Raid is the pinacle of gaming in MMO…becouse of the music, the story, the gameplay, the music, the story…. did I mentioned the music, story and gameplay? x)

  3. So glad you did this series! As a sprout, I was going "Uh, I'm not going to get a single reference in this series, am I?"
But it didn't matter – I enjoyed the raid for the story it told, and the challenging mechanics.
And Alpha is BEST BOY and I carry his little clockwork everywhere, all the other pets have been forgotten. <3 Still haven't seen him exploring in the world, though. Sadface.
I just finished Nier, still gotta do the Bozja and Eden stuff….and now someone told me I NEED to go back and do the Sorrow of Werlyt arc.
Might have to put a pin in Endwalker for now and back up. 🙂

  5. not played ff v or iii/vi ?!?!?!
ngl having played those older ff games actually made the play through just that much cooler for me. to see
alphas development doesn't hit me as much as omega's. I'm always in awe of how they have the ability to make you hate an enemy but then make you feel sorry for them by the end of the story.

  6. Endwalker recontextualizes Omega in some very cool ways. We always knew that Omega thought our power came from silly limit break macros, so it tried to do those in O12 and they didn't work – but now we know why they failed. And it floored me a few weeks after finishing 6.0 when I went to glam an armor set and realized that the savage armor set from Alphascape was the Omicron armor set. Square plays the long game excellently.

  7. I burned out of FF14 while running Omega savage. It was so freaking hard to find 8 people able to do this thing. This time around I'm waiting to finish the story, and will just try to find a min ilvl linkshell for doing cool old stuff.

    but Omega Savage scares me.

  8. Fun Fact: You can encounter both of them running around and exploring the world but sadly you can't interact with them but it's nice to see them again.

  9. Neither the H nor E are silent in Ultima Thule, by the way. It's pronounced "thulee". Also Bozja is pronounced "Bozya" – or perhaps "Bozhya".

  10. Oh trust me, if you want content that feels like real content, Ivalice WILL deliver. This was how those raids were designed:

Yoshi-P: What mechanics should we have?
    Devs: YES

Brush up on your prime numbers. In all honesty, the Ivalice raids in my opinion are harder than the Nier ones. Both are fabulous from a mechanic design perspective though.

  11. Not sure if anyone mentioned this to Bellular before, but will toss my note into the ring. Go back and rewatch the cutscene where the big delivery happens near the end of EW. Something will be different. It actually applies for multiple bits of side content in that scene.

  12. Oof… that’s a bad queue time. I get the Normal Raids roulette is supposed to help but I would honestly use PF for extreme trials and non-current tier raids. That’s an excruciating wait time.
