In this video, I am going to tell you the 5 reasons why I am leaving Star Wars The Old Republic to play Final Fantasy XIV.
So for the folks who have been following me for years on my other channel, this was a tough decision. I mean if it weren’t for SWTOR, I never would have come up with Urban Acolyte, and I probably wouldn’t be talking about Star Wars on YouTube.
I started following SWTOR the first day it was announced in 2008; I was a closed beta tester; and I was right there on launch day ready to go with my Sith Assassin Tank.
It’s funny that I almost left SWTOR for Final Fantasy XIV back in 2015, but I tried out 14, instantly hated it, and went back to SWTOR for a few more years.
Well, this time, I decided to give 14 a real shot, and now I’m hooked, so here’s 5 reasons why I decided to leave Star Wars for Final Fantasy XIV.

ARRs story is so bad. If you go to FF for that one, you wont make it past 50.
As a long time SWTOR player to a recent upstart FFXIV player, I hope you’ll have a good time over there. It’s worth it. People say ARR is terrible and something you should quit over (including the small skill set with the 2.0 GCD). ARR is not bad but it is long. But once you’re past ARR, you’ll love it.
You'll probably come back to swtor at some point, no one leaves forever.
I feel like you've made this video before. Anyhow, as a long time final fantasy 7/8/Dissidia fan I do like to see the ff franchise do well. There are things about ff that I've grown out of though. Anime style cuteness for example. Good gaming to you regardless.
