I played Pictomancer using a PAINTBRUSH Controller | FFXIV

I played Pictomancer with a paintbrush controller. Paint to use abilities. Paint to learn on to play PCT. I don’t think this is how the devs intended me to play Dawntrail.

  1. You should play SuchArt! It's a mouse painting game (with tablet support) and I think it would be interesting to see how an IRL painting VS a Digital painting using the same motions differ

  2. This is definitely among your best work. I imagine it would be more responsive to use some sort of sensor beneath each puddle of paint to detect what you're dipping into. But scanning the colors was much more inventive and unique. And if someone really wants to go wild with it, they can include having to mix colors on the fly to use certain moves.

For more mappings, it would be funny if you can activate a move by stroking your chin with your hand, as an artist would do when looking contemplatively at their art. Maybe it's possible to specifically detect the sound that is made when stroking your beard near a mic?

If you ever get the chance to, you should enter your paintings into an art competition or art show and see how it's received, perhaps without even explaining how you made them.
