Final Fantasy XIV is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and published by Square Enix. Directed and produced by Naoki Yoshida, it was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 in August 2013, as a replacement for the failed 2010 version of the game, with support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and macOS releasing later. Final Fantasy XIV takes place in the fictional land of Eorzea, five years after the events of the original 2010 release. At the conclusion of the original game, the primal dragon Bahamut escapes from its lunar prison to initiate the Seventh Umbral Calamity, an apocalyptic event which destroys much of Eorzea. Through the gods’ blessing, the player character escapes the devastation by time traveling five years into the future. As Eorzea recovers and rebuilds, the player must deal with the impending threat of invasion by the Garlean Empire from the north.

Not sure if anyone in your chat informed you but you could've downloaded the benchmark yourself to use your character appearance to show up in place of Derplander in the benchmark scenes
I farmed my relics armor items from the Coil for my Repear. The gear looks surprising bad ass when dyed Jet Black. I've also have extra weapon coffer chest from the E12S just in case they retroactively add reaper and Sage. If not, I will give it to my other alt job. I'm so ready for End Walker.

We're not really sure why a version of Omega is there in the benchmark, but Ishikawa did specifically say in a panel that the context of Endwalker would be heightened for those who complete Omega and Coil storylines before Endwalker. We're waiting, mister Krojak. 😛

You should run the benchmark yourself so you can see your character doing all this stuff! And so you can play around with settings to see how big a number you can get for your performance!
It'll also let you make a male viera.
Downloading the benchmark from the sit also allows you to preview the Male Viera character creation, and slap it (or any character you make) onto the Benchmark taking Derplander's place (with a small handful of PLD gear or FF costume sets as options, also the pig suit XD)

Vrtra is big, but he is smol compared to his older brothers and sisters, I think Tiamat his sister actually is bigger than him, and Bahamut the eldest of the first brood is the biggest

Based on what we've seen, it's people's guess that the moon has to be the main base of operation for the Ascians or was an outpost of the people of Amarout, or both. Just 75 more days till we'll know that answer for sure.
Should try the benchmark and see how well it performs on your system with your character instead of derplander.
For those who didn't pay much attention to the MSQ. Zodiarc was banished to the moon. So there is some important info to be found there.
*Matanga. An old Sanskrit for Elephant. Only used in ancient epic. Used here as the species name. The tribe were called Arkasodara, Also Sanskrit word related to Elephant but this one is more spacial. It's a synonym of Erawan, The elephant that is vehicle of one of the greatest Hindu god. But the interesting part is the literal meaning of Arkasodara is "The brother(s) of the sun". Which maybe related to the Eorzian god Azim who's the sun.
Moon's haunted. Might be from somewhere else but many know it from Destiny 2. It a meme from that game when players went to Lua (the moon) and we saw ghost.
Honestly I know its just a benchmark but I def hope there’s improvements bec it looks pretty bland compared to Shadowbringers. I’m hoping it’ll be another Shadowbringers but worst case scenario is it’s another Stormblood: not bad but also not as good as what came before.
Kro, you can download the benchmark apps and import your own character. It comes with a few selective gears. I choose the chicken outfit. Seeing my own character in this cutscenes is surreal. At the end of the cutscene, the crowd will react differently depending on your benchmark result. If it was above good, the crowd cheers. If it was below average, everyone look at you disappointingly.
One thing I think the reason they use Falcon Nest is the base area in EW because it’s the way to Ishgar. They just expand the lore in HW a lot in ShB to prepare for the attacks. (Dravinia supposed to be a home for Sharlaya scholars but they abandoned it so keep that in mind)
It’s usually not cannon in previous benchmarks but not this time. The chance that they will revive battle leve this expansion is high. Since after Bozja incident, you learn some truth about other regions geographically and how those regions are the good source of infrastructure for building villages and towns.
There will explaination about certain things from the previous expansions about Midgasomr along with Hydaelyn and what happened when you are in the First, given the timeline is 4-12months in between all the quests you do during ShB. There is a big gap of information that will come in handy with Omega too. Exarch has said before of his plan so it will eventually come back in EW as a result.
