  1. There is a companion app that you can use. You can tlk with in game friends without having to log in. Though I mainly just use it to check market board prices without having to physically got to a board in game. And you'll get an emote for syncing the ap with your character.

  2. I know some people will be negatively affected by the lack of GW2 content, but I support focusing on FF14! There is so much to see and do! I'm excited to see how YOU play the game. Keep it up Ablsterz!

  3. Looks like you found that out but when you're browsing the market board, level doesn't always mean better. A whole lot of gear designed to be glamour is just level 1. That way anyone can project it onto anything. Also keep an eye out for stuff that can or can't be dyed.

  4. Real Reborn is very good and there is a lot to do, but the story in the expansions is on another level. I hope you get to play them especially Shadowbringers.

(Also, when you get the chance, please do the Hildabrand quest line xD)

  7. Welcome to FFXIV community! Please, enjoy your complementary leather jacket, coffee mug, canvas bag(made out of the finest canvas in all the land – ooh yummy), and your tissue box(you need that much later on).

    Enjoy your stay fellow Adventurer!

  8. ima say this: i have time to play and money to play multiple mmo, and don't. i have quit ff14 a few times only to come back. It really is that good of an mmo, from both a gameplay and UI perspective. I can only play mmo on either my ps4 or xbox 1 and outside ff14 most do not play well in either gameplay or the UI is a cluster fuck.

i'm also in the best fc i've been in that makes you feel like you have a home and family. it is social both in game and in our disc.
    hope you enjoy ff14 dude.

  9. Hey there! I'm happy that you are are happy with FFXIV! I'll tell you that glamour in this game is nuts! You can further customize your looks/equips/glamours by dyeing them (not all equips/glamours can be dyed though). As you progress, you can have more stuff as well.

Also, beware of the Market Board! It will suck your Gil in a fraction of the time you earn your money ^__^. If you're interested in additional contents, becoming Disciples of the Hand (crafters) and Disciples of the Land (Gatherers) can make your life easier (…or harder… but that depends ^__^;;;) since you can craft and gather materials to make equipments/foods/housing etc for your personal use OR you can sell them to gain money…though using them means you are willing to level them up as well (until lvl 80 as of the current expansion). Enjoy!

you got a lot of awesome story ahead of you. If you treat it as a JRPG with some multiplayer elements then you'll really enjoy the game and once you hit endgame the mmo aspect opens up with raids and other content 😀
