Absolutely love the tutorial and how in depth it is, did try myself for a bit but after about 3 hours i had to kinda permanently stop because work is taking too much time out of the day though to do it which is honestly the worst.
For IH, in the video you have X of 0.05, and Y of 0, but in the notes on the webpage, it has the X and Y swapped. Which is correct?
Just finished getting mine up and running, just need to sit down and set up all of my expressions and refine my mouth shapes a little bit. Thank you so much for this brilliant guide, it legit helped so much, appreciate you putting in the time to put it together.
When it comes to spring bones, do you have a resource for other races? Miqo'te in specific would be most helpful!
I've been triing for a few days and not gonna lie, lots of errors in the fix model part of cats and I allways seem to be missing a bone in unity. Nevertheless I'm gonna keep triing and hopefully not keep wasting my time. Thanks for the tutorial!
Edit 1: lookign further in te coments I«ve found someone with my bug and was able to fix it! If you cats gets a python erro downgrade blender (in my case I downgraded to 2.8)
Edit 2: moving onto VSeeFace I can import the model with no issues but it simply is invisible/doesent exist. Perhaps this is because in the unity part I didnt have that file that needed deleting? Not sure gonna attempt to find a fix
Edit 3: fix foudn for edit 2, make sure your VSeeFace is on the latest version
I love this tutorial but i noticed in the model folder that some items have A and B sets should I leave them together or seperate them? I noticed this on items like the elegant rimless glasses and the peacelovers pants.
So I’m at the animation portion but my model looks like it lost all the materials? All the structures are green and I made sure to put None for jaw but my model looks clunky again when animating 🙁
The Create Visemes option rotated everything 90 degrees and I'm not quite sure how to fix it, so I might just go and do them all manually. But, thank you for the tutorial. It's been very helpful
Man I wished this worked for me. Hair is transparent looking and the color is a little off, my eyes a permanent red, the skin color is off, and bringing it in blender breaks everything.
Where do the shaders come from?
Hi :3 As someone completely illiterate in all of these programs this guide has been amazing. Thank you for taking all the time to set it up and making it easy to follow. I've gotten my avatar to the stage where she's ready for the final export but the VSF SDK isn't showing up in the menu and keeps erroring out, i've tried googling and downloading the updated versions of it but nothing seems to be working. Do you have any ideas at all how I could resolve this?
Edit: Whoops, I think I got it ^^ thanks
I gave up trying to do this a while back and then I tried again with this tutorial but I am running into the same issue. After I make the face and add to FMV~ I then select the lalafell body and add to FMV , but at that point it removes the face from the FMV – but adds the body. Am I missing something? It looks so simple when you do it but I am not getting those results ; ;
Ok, you lost me on the eyes. I have two pink globes for eyes and I cannot get the material to look correct. How did you put textures on the eyes?
Thank you so much for making this, I just have a quick question. With Endwalker being out they made it so the reaper class's eyes are now a part of the Iris Texture I can't seem to overide it in blender/unity as if i just apply the normal eye it becomes transparent. Any ideas on how to fix that?
change your model
do you think i could use your video at least half of the info here to port my character to gmod?
Can't for the life of me get this to work but would pay very very handsomely to a freelancer who takes commissions for them
So i got as far as the eye animation? My model does not have "Mob" It does have j_f_eye_l and j_f_eye_r . . . One of each? How should I proceed?
After following this tutorial 5 times over or more…
I give up. I've had it. It's always something that just breaks with it.
It's not worth the headache to even try anymore.
Eyyyy! I did it! I got my stunning gorgeous beefy Roe into VR chat! It only took like 3 weeks hahaha. Next time though I think it will only take a few hours though since I understand the process now! thanks 🙂
I choose "fade" for eyebrows, it becomes transparent and can be seen through in VseeFace background, and transparent in OBS, how to fix it?
Hmm for some reason textools isn't letting me apply face modifiers to get the proper eye/brow/lip/nose shapes of my miq. I am basically working from a clean install. I wonder if I missed something? 🤔
Thanks a lot! I followed through your tutorial and can finally wear the drachen set in VRChat. One question for you though, do you know how to condense the materials down to just one without losing most of the quality and normal mapping? I tried using the Cats plugin’s generator for that but it did what I mentioned before and lost most of its quality. I can use the avatar on PC but it will not show for quest users because of having too many materials. Thanks!
Anyone else who got issues when importing a model?
The model is inverted on itself or something oddly.
Got this working in Unreal Engine 4 pretty much identically as well, materials and all. Though if you really wanted to, you could potentially do all the rigging and animating purely in Blender, I think. Thanks for the tutorial. Managed to get a 3D printable model of my character fairly cleaned up in Cura and 3D Builder.
So following this video, I saw nothing about armor dyes. How would I do that?
Great in depth tutorial, want to try this myself! I was just wondering, is there any way to do add heterochromia to a character? In textools I only see one box for iris color
I'm having issues with the eyes. They just come out as weirdly cloudy grey. Wondering if this is an issue with how I set up the model or if something changed with the character models with Endwalker? I noticed that included in the textures is ones for when Reapers use Enshroud and their eyes transform. Anyone tried following this guide since the Endwalker update and having the same issue?
I keep having the issue where the armament isn't sticking with the mesh after the model fix. Is there a reason that it's happening or am I messing something up?
Thank you for the video, I really appreciate it.
I cant get my blend shapes to work… why is this like the only tutorial for doing this.
