Huh, Gridania has a very interesting unique cutscene! I've actually never seen this, as I started in Ul'Dah as a Monk.

1:29 There is no Matron Four-fiend. It's Middle English for 'ward off,' 'protect' or 'prohibit'.
Lewin is saying if the Matron (Nophica) is goodly, such a thing wouldn't happen. It's an exclamation though, not a prayer.
Bowmaster Lewin! I wondered if he turned up more in the Gridania quests! (I've done a character in Limsa and one in Ul'dah but not Gridania yet.)
