I just started last week. I wanted something a little different (Destiny 2 is my go to game), and man I'm having a lot of fun with it. Started F2P, but I'm not even halfway through the campaign and my main class is over lvl 30 and I've got two other classes in their 20s. It's insane how fast time passes
This is it, this is the thing that separates people who can't get through ARR and the ones who can. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying. Even the ones who have a rough time with ARR, it will click in HW that they've just been approaching the game wrong. Again, nothing wrong with that. The world of MMO's has conditioned people to view it this way.
Ngl, with all the other things in the game (Gold Saucer, triple triad, guildhests, job story quests, engaging with the community,…) it took me 200 hours to complete ARR… And I enjoyed it for just about every moment
i got into ff14 doing the opposite i tried ff14 3 or 4 times before , but this time i started rushing the quest paying just a bit of attention about the plot , i just get bored if try to read the quests but the dungeons have been a lot of fun after 40+ levels and cant wait to start collecting mount and do some raids
MMO industry is so fucked up that influencers make videos about FFXIV rocking because the recipe is not flawed. The issue is that the game recipe always reiterates, over time. You know 3 to 4 monthes in advance what will be in the next patch. There are some side twists but that's it. Also if you played ff xiv for that long I mean at this point you play a bit more each patch, do the savage progression if you are in a tryhard party, wich is imho too much scripted to be deemed great pve, then you do small meaningless daily tasks. I love Jujutsu Kaizen tho ^^'. At Shadowbringers I had fun 3 days playing the market while leveling liveskills and doing the first 2 pve fights, then it became redundant extremly fast, the same old routine. I must admit I have not interacted with the relic zone this expansion, I did not play much, it felt so much business as usual that it discouraged me. I may come back for next expansion or 1 2 week early as I really enjoyed sb atmosphere and have missed later content(haven't done the 3rd 24 men raid and post "epilogue" part of the storyline if there is).
I think the best way to describe the feeling of playing FFXIV comes near the end of StormBlood, when someone else uses the echo on you. All that power, all that pain.
That’s the thing about wow and ff14. Like the new wow patch I’m really kinda interested in playing it and exploring it. But then I realize wow doesn’t really respect your time. I know I’m going to be stuck in bullshit like renown and the maw. The story will be shallow. Unlike 14 where all of that is opposite. Normally I return to wow for the patches, but I kinda don’t think I will anymore.
This game made me realize that not all cutscenes in games are bad and annoying… Probably the first game ever that has cutscenes making me cry and chills
We and my wife just started playing this game together we made the switch from Wow its honestly been an amazing experience we are still in ARR but, having this game that we can take our time and savor the experience of the story and the leveling has been a breath of fresh air.
Final Fantasy in general has the best stories. That’s how they get you.Only reason I’m playing 14 is because it’s a FF game. I’ve never played a MMO until 14 and I’ve been telling everyone this just feels like a RPG with IRL ppl involved.
I couldn't get through ARR 2.0 the first time either when I played in late 2014. I didn't jump back in until Stormblood was released. It was Heavensward that kept me in.
lets be honest Asmongold gonna play the game for a few weeks and dumps it after just to go back go wow.

the most important question is why is your volume so low?

You could say that FF14 reminds me of why we want to pay MMOs, and it does that by doing things that have nothing to do with being an MMO.
Good luck and have fun im playing it just like you taking my time .

It brings me so much dismay that I can’t find that shirt

The game is a lot of fun. Halfway through realm reborn. Only thing that Gets me is there is soooo much reading during the MSQ.
Game starts at level one, you can do so much at 20 in limes or housing and just hanging with people doing content etc
U Just popped up in my recommended and bro, you are amazing. I love the way you talk in your vids. Uncut. Raw. Very authentic person. Keep it up ♥️
100 hours in 3 weeks? those are rookie numbers, I’ve put in 100 in the last week and a half😎
