  1. This part is absolutely the peak of ARR Hildibrand to me, and there's a lot of strong competition, but 1:24:16 remains one of my favorite bits.

Briardien, finally breaking down from it all: "…And the world has now completely and utterly ceased to be bound by the laws of logic."
While my WoL was going "wait, no, this Primal summoning is actually the one thing that does make sense, we've been working out all the rules in the main story and this does seem to have most of the ingredients, it's all coming togeth- are you alright?"

  2. Ooh, that bit about historically working with Amalja (I can’t spell sorry ahdbs) comes up again much later in a new optional dungeon! So neat seeing things I didn’t realize were set up earlier pop up again.

  3. I can see Hildibrand as a Streamer of mystery games: making a new theory every second with every new bit of information and talking over cutscenes.
I can even see the emotes of him flexing/thinking, running, being in shock and smirking…

    His dad does bathtub streams.

  4. Uldah sucks, as always
Whenever we continue the Hildibrand adventures, would be nice to do the Scholasticate Quests since they follow another character from ARR Hildi
If they aren't too hard to voice 😛 They are pretty long

  5. Dawning on me that this entire plotline with Sil'dih and Zombies is based on the very effective technique of using the Zombie Spell on things and then a Full Heal to kill them. Damn, that's neat.

  6. I love that this storyline ends showing that Hildy's compassion and Briardien's methods actually compliemtn each other very well and resolve this fun plot amiciably

Now for the keen eyed and the Stormblood starting Hildy's Read More

That lala in the background is real obvious in this questline, I saw some theories from people at the time thinking he was the Thief of Many Faces when, nope just a creep.

  7. And thus concludes the adventure. You know what this means, don't you? It likely means people will stop hinting about a certain Gentleman in the comments of the main story playthough hoping to one day see Dan play that sidequest. Your wait is at an end, patient viewers. You've gotten what you wanted! I do hope those that have not played FFXIV enjoyed it as much as we have!

Side detail about that Enkidu fight: While the Tank can hit those whirlwinds to disable them as JoCat said, players transformed into a chicken can also do this. Being tossed into the air by a gust of wind tends to not hurt chickens very much.

  8. Belah'dia didn't cause a Calamity! It existed in the early part of the 6th Astral Era, founded by survivors of Nym and Mhach from the 5th Astral. The only ruin created by the splitting of Belah'dia was its own ruin.

  9. – oh hey i remember that nation of mages, that's where the Voidesnt meet up with the cool skypirates!!
    – hooray Zombiebrand undead extraordinaire is back
    – damn it Greg! you summoned a Primal… now Julyan will whoop you for wasting her Fire Crystals, well that & you know Durmin Lala of Snacks, Primal-slayer Extraordinare
    – the power of making many friends in important places does prove to be useful
    – oh god, i just realize this is a Goofball preview of the Heavensward main quest except unlike Ishgard, Ul'dah didn't became a better place after the truth came out
    – Briardien, the summoning of a Primal is by far the only thing that has made sense, in fact it actually made MORE sense than the other Primal Summonings

  10. So now that you’ve done Hildibrand, you should try the Scholasticate quests. It’s a Heavensward side quest series that deals with the effects that the revelation of Ishgard’s true history has on the clergy.
