Final Fantasy XIV FanFest London Changed My Life! *EMOTION WARNING* NOT CLICKBAIT!

Both the easiest and the hardest video I’ve ever made on my time on YouTube, I simply had to make this as soon as I could in order to get it out of me, and explain to you quite how profound an effect FFXIV FanFest had on me. Now I warn you, if emotion scares you, you do not want to watch this video, as there’s plenty of it, and it’s likely the most vulnerable I’ve ever been on any social platform, so please be kind, and I hope that the discoveries I’ve made about this incredible game resonate with people x

  1. Your art looks amazing and I hope you continue to share it. As someone just starting my own journey as an artist your story makes me think that one day I might have the courage to share my own work. Keep up the great work!

  4. As an artist who is also finding some pits I've fallen in recently, you definitely are an inspiration for me and so many others. I hope you know that it touches people thay you may never meet or see, I think that's the magic of 14. I really hope you explore drawing more for content and commissions, which it's such an amazing way to connect with people even more!

  5. I stumbled across this video (and by extension, your channel) by pure happenstance. The sincerity and emotion you displayed in this video was resonant. I applaud your vulnerability for it. As someone who works in the gaming industry, it's difficult for me to connect with content creators, because there often seems to be an "us vs. them" mentality that causes us to lose sight of the joy and meaning we find in the games and communities we love. Your expression of appreciation for your fellow players and for the creatives behind Final Fantasy really hits home for me as well. Unity in community is so important. FFXIV is a deeply captivating and fulfilling game not only because of the emotion and energy poured into it by its creators, but also because of the excitement we players share in unfurling the treasure map that is the experience of savoring it together.

And oh my god Flow made me a WRECK at the NA Fan Festival too. A performance beautiful beyond words.

Thank you for sharing this story. Liked and subscribed—wishing you the very best from here on out. I'll be watching!

  6. I honestly love your content Joe, I've missed keeping up with your stuff since the old dffoo days. I don't play or follow ff14 cause MMOs tend to steal too much from me. But I have enjoyed your FF content. I agree that your art is impressive to say the least. Oh… lord… that moment with Mr. Sakaguchi??? I'm moved for you. What an amazing story. I'm here for it. Your work is amazing. I'm speechless at that autograph. Dear god I'd have cried like a bitch.

  8. I went to the fan fest in Las Vegas, And I totally agree with your sentiment on the hype and Meeting fellow warriors of light. Even though the venue was a little lackluster Meeting so many other players you felt in immediate connection. I was fortunate not only to meet Yoshi p and soken But they also signed my final fantasy guitar. I was also fortunate to meet Jason, koji and many More from the development team. Even though the lines were absolutely ridiculous to do anything there, And I didn't get a chance to do any of the event stuff due the overcrowding. Spending thousands of dollars to even get there and getting COVID at the con. I still wouldn't trade that experience and feeling for the world.

  9. Our circumstances couldn't be more different, but our sentiments are identical. I was brought to tears at this fanfest (very unlike me), the passion and love in this community is priceless.
