  1. I've seen differing reviews on endwalker, though all mostly positive. It may not have been the most favorite for some but i agree with you that i like ew and shb both. I suppose the best way to describe it is that i like the whole story like a person and each expansion is a person's limb. Im not gonna say i like someone's arm more than their leg or something along those lines (I'll admit there are certain body parts i do admire more but i digress) but all in all, it was a great end to the overall story. I'm not sure how the next expansions are gonna be as good as this but i look forward to it regardless!

  2. The only thing that is stopping me from playing Endwalker is fear. Like dude, I'm terribly scared that some characters that I've grown to love might die.

That is the major roadblock. I'm scared to play it hahaahaha

  3. I said it once and I'll say it again. Keep making awesome content ruri. As far as endwalker I absolutely loved it. Shadow bringers kicked you in the knees but Endwalker punched you in the gut. Loved every moment of it

  4. While I was partly dissapointed by how, in MY opinion, the story kinda went downhill in Endwalker (especially compared to Shadowbringers), it was still a really good journey and I'm happy to have been a part of it.

  5. i think people should stop comparing shadowbringer. cause endwalker is built on shadowbringer. When you stand on a the shoulder of a giant, the height it reaches is a culmination rather than by itself. I love them all, but when I combine everything in my mind, the story reaches an elevation that blew my mind and I loved it.

  6. I got FFXIV 2.0 day one back in 2012. I stopped playing and picked it up in 2015 when DRK was released. Been playing ever since and I STILL thought there were some problems with pacing. The high points of the story were really good but the low points seem like they drag on for so long. A good example of this is just reaching the first dungeon. It took around 2-3 hours.

There's a ton of exposition and some filler at some points. Not saying it makes EW bad but compared to ShB where things go from 0-100 it can be grating. I'm curious to see what people think after the honeymoon phase is over.

  7. In simple terms I think of Shadowbringers as Infinity War and Endwalker as Endgame. Endwalker is a meta event that wraps up events since ARR that is a great curtain call to this arc.

  8. Absolutely agree with you. For some reason people have this weird view point on the story and try to segment the expansions into their own individual stories like theyre not even apart of the same one even though they are in their own rights more focused on their own narrative. But thats not how the story is supposed to be viewed. Every expansion is an enhancement to the story. Endwalker is the complete opposite. It's not its own narrative. Its the narrative of the entire story starting from 1.0 and finishing off everything. If you didnt pay attention to the story, skipped parts, or just wrote off bits of the story that just maybe werent interesting to you, then i can understand someone not liking it or being as invested. But those who stuck with the story, understood it from a fundamental point of view, and went as far as to read the side stories, will absolutely love Endwalker.

I have never cried so much so consistently thoughout a game or expansion than i have in Endwalker. The masterful storytelling of tying things together was amazing. The fact that we finally got the question that the song Answers is referring to (a song made back before ARR mind you), absolutely blew mind my mind and the way the question is portrayed is absolutely heart wrenching and i cant wait to see where we go next with the story

  9. Born too late to explore the world, born too early to explore the stars, born just in time for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker

When I finished msq and everything I wanted to do with the story, I had to stop for a few days. There was such a huge weight of emotion hanging over me I honestly didnt know what to do with myself as far as playing games. A few days later I created a new character and I started playing from the very beginning to experience this story from start to finish and even though I already know the things that are going to happen, somehow it make the story that much better and even the little things like Tataru introducing herself and welcoming me to the waking sands made me emotional.

XIV as a whole is an incredible masterpiece and I cant wait to cry my eyes out like that again in another 10 years at the next finale

  10. IMHO Endwalker is like Endgame. You can't fully enjoy them if you haven't experienced the stories before. Both of them have a slow start, with almost no sense of urgency, but it's fine: everything is more focused on characters and bonds. It's a long goodbye. Both pick up the pace around the half-point (when Thanos gets in the game; after the first trial, respectively), but rather than the action and the fights, the narrative still follows the protagonists, their strife, and their emotions. And both have amazing final confrontations with the "final boss". And both of the have a wink, wink (no spoilers). Love your content. Keep at it, and I hope to meet you at least once, in Eorzea

  11. Endwalker is like the payout for an investment, the more you invested in the content before, the more you get out of Endwalker.

I think I have been investing quite a bit in the story, so yeah, it was the best experience for me out of all the expansions so far because of how much I got out of that payout.

  12. Theres a reason why u must not skip the story, the events from ARR to ShB, even some sidequest, makes sense in EW. The Final was fantastic and almost all of the music makes it better.

Thats one solid way to end a story.

As always, thxs for the video!

…. and the obligatory salt: That's how. you end a story of years, when you love your work, what you do, and having respect for the players, this is what you get, but if you forget whats important….. you end in a council doing nothing, fixing whatever trash bcuz potatoes, and killing an already dead game.
