  1. Confession: Reading Slyph dialogue hurts my head, so I've never liked them. I laughed so hard when Noraxia got roundhouse kicked. The scene is so important and heavy as our friends are murdered or kidnapped, but then that kick takes me out of things because its so damn satisfying and I'm actually a little jealous that Livia gets to do it.

  2. Square and Final Fantasy never fail to impress with their music, and I love them for it.

Y'shtola, why are you wearing blue jeans in a fantasy setting? They're even the exact shade of blue! This has been bugging me since I started Dissidia Opera Omnia.

    O.O Oh that ain't good.

  3. This was the part where the game finally made me feel invested in the story. That twist was sudden and hit me hard. I grew really fond of the sylphs. From that point, it was all about getting revenge.

  4. This ep had a bit that reminds me of playing SWTOR (due to SWTOR spoilers, if anyone cares, continuing below)

So, if memory serves, playing SWTOR back in the day had a moment like this for me very early on in Act 1(?) of the Mercenary story (and again, but not as impactful in the Rep Trooper story). Your mentor on Nal Hutta just gets dusted by the final boss of story Act 1 while you're out questing, the only survivor is your first companion (and she can be more, with hilarious romance plots!). I remember walking in to the aftermath and going "Someone is going to have a very painful death for this" and after the holo recording (that I don't know if I'm inventing? it's been a few years) going "See this fucker? Nothing in the galaxy will keep him safe now. I know his face.". And that's exactly what happened, Act 1 has you chasing him across Sith and Hutt Space until you board his ship and get a selection of endings for him.

There's always something about "hey, you thought everything was fine. it wasn't" that, when played well, does a solid job of galvanizing players against the baddies.
