  1. to people who are gonna start ffxiv, most of the issues that beginners will have are the long queue times this is especially true for dps. i suggest going for a healer or a tank if that’s ok with you. healers and tank queues i find are quicker.

  2. What a great episode! I have tried so hard to get into FF14. I have played MMOs here and there. The one I played the most was probably DC Universe because of the same reason as Greg.

  3. Honestly we need to see full playthrough of Tim or Blessing playing Shadowbringers honestly hands down.. the best final fantasy story since 10 and honestly probably my fave FF Story since 8.

  4. Things I hate when people talk about games like FF 14 or Destiny 2. "I am glad I dont get into those games cause I like to play other games". I play Destiny 2 and have played FF14 in the past I still managed to play other games.

  5. I've been playing FF14 since beta and I have to say Michael summed it up really well. While FF14 may take some time to get through the initial levels playing the game the payoff is so grand. Being able to get close to story characters, only for heart strings to be pulled and be thrown right back into the epic action and story.

I've been playing for 6 or 7 years and it just keeps getting better. Like how?! That is Square Enix for you. That is FF14's studio and that is the level of epic we could see in Final Fantasy 16. FF14's main story arc is about to end with this next expansion. Like the end of an Era. Only to start with a brand new journey after.

Like many MMORPGs I have a lot of awesome memories, not all great but most of them pretty awesome. I could go on and on about the story, gameplay, the community but it's all about your personal experience, who you meet, what you do with your time and what you make of it.

Thank you for this cast, I'm glad I got to hear my favorite Podcasters talk about one of my most favorite games. Enjoy and ofc stay Frosty 😉

  6. I've pretty much have been playing SWTOR since 2011. It's no longer grindy like it used to be. All you have to do now is your main character quest and the planet purple quest. You can do the other quests to level up faster if you want. I still think SWTOR has the best individual stories for an MMO. They keep adding onto the story every year and the population seems to be growing. It started out as a level 50 cap and now the level cap is 75.

  7. As a long time FF14 player it's for people who love single player rpgs with the option to play with other people. End game isn't required. Griding for the highest stats dont matter on raid/boss content as long as you meet the min. level requirements + skills. I think that's the problem people going into FF14 because other MMOs prioritize grinding and stat maxing and pvp. Whereas FF is the opposite prioritizing story and role playing.

  9. Recently jumped back in again, since I've been gone since the release of realm reborn. As a huuugeee FF fan I'm sad that I didn't jump in earlier. The story, the enviroment and the music is just superb like with all the FF games <3

  10. FFXIV is a Final Fantasy game with MMO elements. The story is by far the best story since 12. Better than 13 and 15. Which means it’s the best story in the past 8 years. Yes it’s pay to play, but the amount of work the dev team puts into the game is ridiculous. You can play for free up to the end of the first expansion at level 60. If you’re interested in playing it, play til the end of Heavensward then decide if you like it or not.
