wow you are one of the very few people I know who actually liked early pre Kugane stuff more than the eastern part lol
If I have to chart Shadowbringers on your chart, it won’t even be visible on the chart at all since it’s way above the confine of the canvas.
I loved seeing your take on the enjoyment factor here. Yours are unique compare others like ex-wow gamers. As you mention the abruptly ending the Ul'dah arc in Heavensward. I have noticed ex-wow players appreciated that because it felt like a closure and not another breadcrumbs to entice hype.
Yap. Stormblood as many FF 14 players stated is the weakest in the expansion. Still good and imo, has the absolute best music in the game with boss fights and Alliance raids, but story it didn't live up to Heavensward perfection and so is Shadowbringer's sophisticated and emotional story telling.
Glad to see someone who found themselves enjoying a lot of bits of Stormblood's MSQ, it's a very divisive expansion in that not that many people hate nor love it, due to how spread thin the entire expansion's MSQ became, especially the middle parts of reclaiming Doma. It ends up just feeling like it tried to tell a lot of things within the limited quests it was given.
Which in turn made the Ala Mhigo sections feel a bit shafted, even though we started the expansion on Gyr Abania and was setup as such during the 3.x Series of Post-Heavensward, almost 3/4 of the time we spend in Stormblood were in Doma & Kugane. Which sadly hurt not only the Ala Mhigan Resistance but also Lyse's personal stake in the main plot.
Nevertheless, I eagerly await your reactions to the 4.0 ending, 24-man Raids, 8-man raids, and beyond!
Your experience is pretty interesting. Also curious when will you do the Ivalice raids? After the full MSQ?
