  1. Crazy to think where FF14 started versus where it is now.

  2. My daughter is always playing FFXIV when she isn't working. It has really become her second life and where most of her friends are. She is really good at it too. Only the highest raid class she isn't doing. I think she has nearly everything you can get in the game without no-lifeing it.

  3. If you watched the pre-endwalker stream he did he was pretty much sobbing on camera because of how bad he felt delaying the game.
Meanwhile at Blizzard – Don't you guys have phones?

  4. FF14: things been going too well! we ran out of game keys! (we got you. you earned it.)
FF14: things are going to well… again! Endwalker's boosting influx of subscribed players means beefier servers than anticipated. (we got you. you earned it. ) Also, here are some free weeks and this truck of "this was my fault. I mismanaged. All me. Apologies." letters.
Doctors everywhere: We are witnessing a peculiar spike of select people, the gamers, exhibiting temporary cases of enlarged hearts.
    🤣🤣🤣
FR though, I wonder what will be the next thing going too well and stress out the wholesomeness blessed as YoshiP… y'know… YoshiP… the kind of studio leader a lot of these other studios should be like?

  5. Man, no wonder people love this game, The dev response goes:
"I'M sorry because of MY decision to focus more on improving the game."
    instead of
"We're sorry that our PLAYERS believe that this is the wrong decision."

  6. Wait so if I don't shit on the consumers I get respect and support from the community? Na that's crazy he's Cleary out of touch. Consumers don't know what they want. – AAA Publisher/Developers probably

  7. Stop fucking calling on asmongold. He wasn’t the sole goddamn reason. WOW refugee here who migrated months before asmongold even though of FF14. It was blizzards fucks up and word of mouth that brought of a majority of players

  8. Activision Blizzard's approach to server (realm) congestion was to split everyone into separate instances. Meaning we could be doing the same quest in the same area on the same realm without ever seeing each other.

Which begs the question, why even be on the same server? WoW really does feel like a singleplayer game in all aspects besides raiding now, imo.

  9. A bad game is always bad. Hence why Yoshi p had to scrap 1.0. Him and his team kept working hard and giving a good product continously along with a good story. They are also paying in good faith back subscription time. Hard to say anything bad about this team and game.

  10. Failure to provide service is not a positive point. Let me remind you that this is a subscription based game with fee based expansion, not free to play. They could afford it but they didn't.

    What's wrong with you yongkeks?

  11. I had just started A Realm Reborn's post story when Endwalker Early Access started. I haven't even TRIED to log in because of how bad I've seen some queue times be. Praise and respect to Square on handling this scenario.

On one hand I feel bad that they're in this situation where they need to constantly deal with congestion, but on the other they must feel pretty damn good knowing they're game is so good that they had to stop selling it.

  12. I have played this game since arr early access and was ridiculed for playing it by hardcore wow fanatics for stating that it would be the mmo that finally would topple it and I am so happy to see the success story of this game I ve loved 11 and this was a welcome and most amazing mmo that I will continue to play for as long as live thank you yoshi p for breathing new life into this story

  13. i started in september 2020 and this game has made me so many friends, and given me such an amazing storyline to experience.
I'm fine dealing with the queues to enjoy this game, and I hope Yoshida and the other devs know how much love the community has for them <3
this game has the best dev's I've experienced

  14. If it didn't require a montly subscription I will play it so much. But I think is insane to pay for the game and then pay a monthly subscription for years without knowing if you will be able to play any day a evey month you pay.

  15. Sad reality is that this FF will never beat FF11 sorry but not sorry, I wish they did a better job instead of giving you less for more money and still charging wild ass monthly subscription fees. They made billions and yet have the balls to keep charging. ESO couldn't keep their players because of that.

  16. If your a fan of older FF games and haven't played 14, do it! The whole game is a love letter to every game in the series, with Easter eggs and throwbacks woven throughout, while still adding its own unique lore and versions of older bosses and monsters. Even now, with Endwalker, I find monsters and stuff that I've historically only seen in 8 bit on the NES transformed into full 3d and it's amazing! Great story, great mechanics, great visuals: You won't be disappointed.

  17. Just a quick correction, the dev team didn't extend the free days from 7 to 14, they granted an additional 14 days. This means those subscribed right now have been given a total 21 free days. More than likely, the team will continue to grant free days until the issue has been resolved.

  18. I managed to get the free trial before they killed sales, and I absolutely love it, and I'm not really about MMOs, now I've got to wait on getting the expansions, which bums me out because I wanna play a Viera.
