  1. These VFX mods are the reason I kept playing for one more year instead of quitting the game.
    The original VFX are very small and meh. These mods are impactful, way better sound and makes combat way more engaging.

  2. I also hate the way Warriors run and I'm a warrior main. It's so dorky.
    I wish they'd run dragging their big ass axe on the floor kicking up sparks behind them. Totally impractical but super cool.

    The Sprint animation is closer to how I wish standard run was.

  3. Just 1 sneaky file integrity check in the launcher from Yoshi P and as the zoomers would say – account – money + ratio. (idk, I don't speak fkin retard despite being a legal retard…)

  4. This looks cool. But saying the team on SE doesn't have ability to make such animation is honestly unfair. I believe the reason why DRK doesn't have such flashy animation is simple; DRK isn't based on Dante's style. Heck, XIV isn't based on DMC style. XIV team have their own style and the mod makers have their own style. Let's just appreciate both form as it is and not call one of them worse just because you like the other more.

  5. All of the pre storm blood runs look stupid outside of paladin. And the sprints… The whm sprint hurts my soul. I hope they get an animation update and/or we can /cpose different runs after the graphical update

  6. DRK run is indeed pretty doofy. At this point, all they have to do is give DRK the run it has in PvP and all would be fine. Sadly, I think it will take a year or more since viera still can't even wear hats.

  7. One of the thing that still shocks me is that Relic weapons dont overhaul animations. Imo if you make a relic weapon, every relic weapon would have unique animations for all of a jobs major abilities. The fact that nothing in the game does this makes me sad.

    That being said these animation mods are sick af and if they werent paywalled (like they rightfully are) then even id probably be using them.

I think they ban harmless stuff like this to be on the safe side, because some ppl may use stuff that isnt owned by SE (like for example devil may cry skills and animations which is owned by capcom) and stream it, which may lead to a lawsuit against SE. It is very unlikely but a big company like SE doesnt want to risk it. And ofc the lewd/NSFW stuff is another "issue" xD

  9. The DRK run animation might be silly, but remember how the PLD one used to be?? The stupid way we would sprint swingging the sword around like a moron?? It was so bad SE actually changed it XD

  10. i love vfx mods .I enjoy them on my own but im also with SE, i hate seeing ppl showing SS / videos of modded with no tag or disclaimer it is modded specially on some communities. i understand this devs opens possibilities SE can improve the game and i love it, but some ppl just cant keep their mods on them selves and showcase the modded SS / vod. Also ultimate/savage fight mods, to anyone reading this, please dont use them, remember "THE JOURNEY IS THE REAL TREASURE, NOT THE DESTINATION".

Not only these graphical mods are stupid, they hinder visibility of mechanics, they sap the visibility of aoe on the ground, you can't see shit happening mechanic wise and animation wise in relation to the boss in dungeons or raid, a lot of these combos just fill the floor with some red nasty area of effect when it's not the sword spinning all around , it's that redish aura that also destroy readability, ffxiv have correct graphical design in mind for how fights are handled. This is why modders can't into proper game design.
