  1. Hey wesk? Wanted some advice if you don't mind.. I'm trying to find a class I'm good with I usually go magic but alot of the bosses are quick lol I've got a monk ,summoner and red mage.. idk feel like I'm not good at those classes. What would you recommend?

  2. I’m honestly kinda worried about when endwalker drops, I want to do early savage progression as even if edens promise was my first raid tier, savage is the most fun I’ve had with this game, but between the energy of seeing if my static will still hold or if I need to find a new one, having the right battle job levelled, and wanting to craft my own stuff so I dont have to pay exorbitant fees, having just one month to do that AND just naturally e joy endwalker is a really daunting prospect.

  3. So this is it… It is really the crafting endgame atm, I've been crafting for months and now this video helped me a lot to finally prepare myself for endwalker.
I've spent so much time doing biscuits/files with the macro and dwarven equipment that I could penta Meld all my craft gear (except tools). I feel like I had such a crafting journey that I should get one of those golden tools just to conmemorate on my favorite crafter job.
    .
Thanks a lot Wesk, I've been around this channel learning since I was a lvl 5 sprout. I think I'm an overall better player thanks to you, now if you excuse me I'll go to a roulette to slap that ground.

  4. Worst part about crafting are the god damn bots. They're everywhere and reporting them seems to do nothing. So I've just given up making Gil on the market board, and just do Mythril Files turn ins instead.. I just can't deal with bots undercutting by 1 Gil every time I adjust my price, no matter what time of day.
Not to mention the absurd amount of materials they farm 24/7.

  5. My journey through crafting and gathering began on a lark, just thinking "I could sell treasure maps I find if I level 1 gatherer"

Which turned into "might as well level all of them, and fisher too cause why not"

Which turned into "Wait, I could be an omnicrafter and help out my FC!" Had I asked at the time they'd probably say most of them already are omnicrafters, but even then I was in a completionist mood at the time

So I leveled all crafters, while crafting ALL the turn ins for class quests pretty much as I went. Yep, there were some level 50 and 60 HQ crafts that were quite challenging as a result.

(btw, ALC, GSM, LTW, WVR, and BTN for gatherers are all fantastic questlines if you wanna pay attention to story. If I were to redo them I'd probably include even more, as all the crafter/gatherer guild masters are eccentrics in their own right and fun to be around.)

Thankfully around level 50 I started leveling all crafters in Ishgard Restoration, dunno what I would have done if I stuck to just crafting log, levequests and class quests.

I finally capped all crafters and gatherers after like 4 months of leveling and realized, oh, now I gotta gear up. So I bought the current white scrip and struggled to make Aesthete gear. I wound up using a combination of light melded Facet gear and some Aesthete gear I splurged on the market, and meticulously gathering all HQ materials, to finally craft a full set of 490 gear plus secondary tools. I was sticking to the relic tools this whole time, trading slightly lower stats now for slightly higher later.

I would say from 5.3 all the way to 5.4 was spent melding that gear, via hundreds of collectable turn ins (15 second macros each, but it still added up). To the point where when the Exarchic gear dropped, I was finally in a position to day 1 gather enough mats to make 1 of EVERY weapon and gear piece for every gear type.

I no-shit offered to give it away to FC members, when the head of the FC gently told me go ahead and sell it, cause he didn't want to take advantage of me like that. Selling it all over the course of a few weeks (plus three sets for my Tank, Healer, and DPS at level cap at the time) was the first time I earned money as a crafter, 15 million easy.

By the time I finished the skybuilders tools, all 8 crafters plus Miner and Botanist (Fisher is still on the second to last step), it had been a full year since I started my omnicrafter/gatherer journey. I never bothered with Resplendent tools XD

All in all I feel it was worth it to catch up to the point where I am in a primed position to make use of them when Endwalker drops, though admittedly I could probably have done some steps smoother with guides like this.
